I've gotta be honest and say that I probably HAVE lost some sleep over certain games before by getting so mad that I couldn't sleep good. I'd have to think about it though. I mean I still get mad when I think about the refs trying to "cheat" as Joey Porter would say in the 05 playoff game against the Colts even though we won that game! The Bus's play should have never happened and that dang play took years off my life! I really do need to lighten up but I guess I'm just a fan and can't help it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do in the regular season. I wouldn't be surprised if he's our return guy if Dunn doesn't make it. He did it with some success in AZ. Anyone else think he might be a dual threat for us?

Does Coastal remind you of Sgt. Carter? Because Sgt. Carter is the greatest Sgt. of all time besides Sgt. Slaughter.

Yeah I'm such an idiot for thinking that was an int even though the next day the dang league announced that it WAS an int and awarded to Troy on the statsheet! They should really just let us Steelers fans ref the game and there would NEVER be a bad call! Whaddya say Bleed??? You agree??? LOL!

Yeah it really does take some guts. Can you imagine being a ref and getting a call wrong in a place like Oakland? But heck their fans are so dumb they would get mad even if you got the call RIGHT! HA!

Anybody who has played organized football understands the importance of camp and preseason (HITTING). You have to practice your trade
to get better, this includes tackling and blocking.Watch how much more improved the whole league is after about 4 games. The players finally start getting in the groove you see way better tackling and blocking. I have seen such POOR tackling in some of these exhibition games on TV I just laugh, the players union has really changed the way the game is played. It has become disheartening the quality of play. Oh well, I must be happy with what we have to watch. I wonder what Lambert and players like that think of the game they see today?

I agree, but you gotta hand it to Steelhurtin, he's worried about his team and don't want to see a repeat of last year (who does). One thing we do know that he not a flip flopper! so agree or disagree he's a true Stillers fan.

Loved this line from the article on the home page:
One important note- Bell was not tackled. He was hurt when he landed wrong after being contacted by Steve McLendon.

LOL! Isn't that the definition of a tackle? He was contacted and went down?

And before anyone gets on here and tries to explain it to me, I understand what the article was trying to convey. It just struck me as funny. Remember when Clark contacted Welker and he went down? Or how about the time Harrison contacted Colt McCoy and he went down? LOL! :roflmao:

Return guy nothing, if Dwyer doesn't get his head out of his butt and Bell can't shake these nagging injuries he MAY be our starting RB! I don't care if he's 3'3" and weighs a buck twenty-five, at this point he seems to WANT IT MORE THAN ANYBODY ELSE ON THE TEAM!!!

Come on, Jack. It's Steve Frickin McLendon. He looks at a guy wrong and they fall down. ;)

Seriously though, I don't really understand what you're getting at. There's a huge difference between contact in non-live drills and tackling.

I understand that, TTF, and if you'll go back and re-read what I wrote you'll see that I understand what the article is saying, that this was a non-tackling drill, it just struck me as funny. If you look up the definition of a tackle that's it, contact made, player down. :smiley1:

At any rate, it doesn't take much to humor me at times. ;)

I thought LSH was a big splasher too Busman. If Bell gets knocked around this year I think LHS can carry the load. Then hopefully Bell will learn how to take hits where they don't bench him for next year. BUT Ray Ray set the tone when he broke Mendy's shoulder he was hurt more than he played with us.

My definition of tackling is different.

Sadly, it takes too much for me at times.

Agreed. Sometime the cynical side of me wonders why we bring in guys which Haley obviously has familiarity.

I guess its his offense but sometimes I wonder why we bring in Arizona Cardinals players and they take our cast offs

I think there is some splaining to do haha
