    5-7 inches?

    Wind chill of 0?

    That's cute. ;)

We got almost 2 feet a few days ago and the lows have been 5-6 below 0 (actual temp. Not counting wind chill).

    I'll trade ya. ;)

But in all seriousness, for SC, that's a near disaster. Stay warm. Keep your water running (houses down south don't have their plumbing protected like up north. And even we have to be careful when it gets real cold). All faucets. Steady stream. Open cabinet doors too to let the warm air circulate. Keep your house a few degrees warmer than you usually would.

Hopefully, for you, it'll be a powdery snow. Easy to clear. And not a slushy, frozen mess.

    You are correct about disaster
I lived through many a cold and freezing snowy days in Pa
Infrastructure in the South not set up for freezing temperatures.
Guidelines for freeze level when building here much different than Pa
Water is streaming on both hot/cold faucets
I have a tankless water heater
    Which is located outside
    Thanks for the best wishes
Also, my brother is at wits end with the freezing temp’s Pittsburgh has been going through, with no end in sight
    Adding
Specification for a winter storm warning in SC is 2” or more of snow
    Hilarious

    She liked it at first
    Makes real good money
    100k a yr
Not enough for life in Cali
    Since she works remotely
She can do it here in SC
Cost of living way lower than Cali
So she will be living high on the hog here
I have a friend who lives in San Diego he loves it

I've been in San Diego county since 1968. There are places where 100K would let you live comfortably and a whole bunch more where 100K wouldn't get you into a studio which is why I live in Santee. Straight line, I'm about 15 miles to Downtown
