First episode was tonight. Slow start but worth a watch for any GoT fans.

I haven't watched it yet. But a slow start seems right. IDK if you read the short stories this series is based on. But they're not exactly fast paced - at least not for the majority of the story. They're more of a character study. (With enough backstory into the "behind the scenes" bits to Westeros history and lore to keep you intrigued)

Although, the Trial by Seven should be an awesome episode if you want action, high drama, etc.

HBO had a marathon before it came on. All the G.O.T. episodes then all the House Of The Dragon episodes.

What is the timeline of this new series? HOTD was set before GOT.

It's before GoT, but after HoD.

It's roughly 100 years before GoT.

OK, 100 years before GOT seems to be a much calmer time. I like the young squire.

Opening scene made me real happy we have indoor plumbing.

Haven't watch it yet, but will. I like to watch when I can binge the whole season in a few days.

Watched episode 1 last night, a bit slow but nice scenery outdoors and indoors.

My wife is not a TV person. I had the part where he went #2 by the tree cued up. She walked in and I told her I wanted her to watch this one heart wrenching scene. I got a huge laugh out of it. When she said who would do that I reminded her billions of humans did it.

Ok, I was curious. I've heard some saying differently. I've read that, but I have watched yet.

Episode 2 we have the joy of seeing an old mans very large penis. Please show naked women like G.O.T.

If not for the young kid squire the show would not hold my interest.

I could've sworn we got a naked - very attractive - woman in the first episode?

They could have skipped 5 minutes of dialogue trying to describe/remember Ser Arlan :roflmao:

I wish he was taller; When I read the stories Sir Dunkan the Tall was always in my head like 6'8" His extreme height was always a main part of his character. And judging from the first 2 episodes they are going to stay with this inside joke of Sir Duncan the Tall being too tall to be a real Knight.

Don't get me wrong, not as bad as having a 5'7" Tom Cruise play a 6'5" Jack Reacher.

Egg on the other hand, is exactly the way I imagined him. Really like this casting.

I thought the first 2 episodes stayed true to the story, so I am enjoying this GOT Series.

I always thought Dunc was over 7 feet tall. It's awful hard to find anyone (that can act) that tall. He's taller than most, just not towering.

    Agreed on Egg. He's perfect.

I also thought he was over 7 foot, but I'd have to go back, and check to be sure. I can't wait to watch this.
