I was watching some tape and man this kid is an elite talent, I was hoping maybe we could make a play for him , but it seems the Cowboys will tag him at 28 Million for the season if a deal cant be reached.. I would rather have him over Metcalf any day ..Our X Coach and Front Office messed up big time and now his trade value would be a middle 1st. rounder...

We just can't afford to make huge mistakes like this if we want to compete with elite teams in the NFL..

I did have a Dream that we won the playoff game if we had GP .. He caught that dropped pass and scored , he was running that deep route and didnt stop and scored as a result we ran the ball kept the lead had a pick 6 from our Defense oh what a great dream I had ...So you see I had to post something..lol

He's definitely more talented than DK, but he's more of a head case too.
He quit on too many plays while with us. He quit on a few with Dallas too.
He's happy and productive when he gets the ball. When he doesn't, he's an absolute nut job.

DK's performance in the Playoff game this year was the worst it could get; he not only quit on a play, he quit on his entire team. IF DK shows up for that game the Steelers WIN A PLAYOFF GAME!!!




And, am I the only one thinking... Isn't it crazy that the same year Seattle trades DK Metcalf to the Steelers they are playing in the Superbowl!!! Was DK the cancer in the locker room that was holding that team back???

Ok cool. Not sure what your point is. I'm not a DK fan. Also not a Pickens fan. Give me a player who doesn't punch fans, doesn't give up on plays, doesn't have melt downs on and off the field, and doesn't disappear during games. That excludes both Pickens and DK. There are lots of great WR's out there, we don't have to keep settling for morons.

And you can't compare Seattle of last year to Seattle of this year. QB is everything in this league.

We drafted GP and he was clearly showing upside making big catches great adjustments and was mad because of not being used ..He stated had he not got hurt in College he would have been the 1st. WR took in the draft..I now believe that statement to be correct ...

It is the Coaches job to get the players in line and to at least get maximum ROI ... If we intended on getting a good QB then you mend the feelings and keep your potential stud at WR ..Dallas made it work so I say failure on the Steelers part...

It is the coaches job, and I think Tomlin let guys get away with way too much, but some guys are just uncoachable. Pickens would never have been happy here. Our offence was a disaster and has been for 8+ years.
I'd rather a guy that wants to be here and knows that sacrifices sometimes have to be made. Pickens will self-destruct in Dallas, it's only a matter of time.

 

Good points , but GP also stated that he Loved AR and he had always wanted to play with him ..A lot of times those throw me the damn ball guys fix is really easy .. Throw them the ball ...I still contend that AR is better than Zac right now and GP would have put up monster numbers as such we would at least have gained trade value and saved money..

I'm not convinced what you're saying would have happened, but I will admit it's a possibility.
I didn't like the DK trade when it happened, but I'm not sad Pickens is gone. I have no time for guys who took plays off.
