OK, I'll put it here too. Does our front office have the know how to hire a head coach? Tomlin has been here for 19 years, cowher for 15. Not a lot of experience hiring any. I don't think any of them have gone through this process. Any thoughts?

I wish Bill Cowher had stayed two more years and retired after Super Bowl XLIII. Steelers may have avoided the Mike Tomlin Era and gotten a better coach. It’s been so frustrating knowing after the Tim Tebow loss that the Steelers were never gonna win another Super Bowl with Mike Tomlin.

That was the first full year without LeBeau. I agree, I seen it there as well. A year before we got bowled over by the great Terrell Pryor.

No guarantee that we make SB 43 with Cowher. He lost a few playoff games too. Could have been another AFCCG loss

I was at that game. I saw the play develop before anyone on TV did and put my hands to cover my eyes and sat down before Pryor hit the end zone.

Cowher went 8-8 in 2006 because he knew it was his last year and Big Ben added to it with his stupid decisions off the field. Maybe you’re right. He might have been burnt out.

Dan isnt around anymore. He was the brains behind hiring Noll in 69. I dont know how much Art II or his sons gleaned off him. We’ll soon find out.

Tomlin was hired over Wisenhunt and Russ Grimm. And there was Wade Phillips, Not exactly any Stellar alternatives that year.
