I have heard from the media how bad he has looked in practice though .

Judging in the 90 years of the NFL draft, there has not been a single great Ohio State quarterback. CJ Stroud might actually be the best ever already and he isn’t that great. He’s average to good.


It’s a tall order. He would be the first in 90 years. Steelers had two Ohio State QBs for a short time in the late 90s. Mike Tomczak and Kent Graham, God help us all.

Ohio St qbs a bust in NFL
But Howard also played and won at K State
Not saying he is a franchise qb but also not jumping on the Howard sucks train

 

Kind of mind blowing how people see the amount of late rd and UDFA'S have good to borderline HOF careers for us over the yrs and still doubt

It’s the OSU quarterback history that it’s based on. In the storied history of OSU, not one single great QB has ever been developed. So, with that, I hope people temper their expectations. Winning a national title in college as a QB means nothing. There have been several who busted bad in the pros. Plus he’s a 6th round pick. The odds are against him in all directions.
