I have no preference, they're all good candidates, but I have a feeling it will be Scheelhaase.

Didn’t Rooney state no retreads? Or is this just one of many rumors?
    If he did
Why is Flores on this list?

Commanders interviewed Flores for vacant DC position.
Only team linked to Flores for HC job is the Steelers
Once again, love to have Flores as our DC
    Big no to HC

He said it won't be anyone on the current staff, Flores is with the Vikings.

Scheelhouse has no coordinator experience in the NFL, they shouldnt choose him. I hope its the OC on the list.

What’s your thought on Flores as our HC?

I said this right away when his name was tossed in the hat
    Too inexperienced
    As far as OC
    Would prefer
    Mike McDaniel

    Hire Shula
    Bring passing coordinator with him
    Passing coordinator as a HC?

I'd rather they hire someone that isn't a former head coach, especially one that was fired. I wouldn't have a problem with Flores as DC though.

They didn't interview him for a HC role because none is available. They already have their head coach, Quinn

    Thanks
    I wasn’t being ignorant
Just stating that the only position that Flores interviewed was for a DC position at Washington
There are 8 other HC jobs available

Tomlin didn't have any coordinator experience, that didn't stop them from hiring him.

The thinking for Scheelhaase is he is the most like McVay if that’s what you are going for but I don’t think it will be him.

Some are speculating that they are bringing him in to get an idea about him as an OC. It’s almost a guarantee that if they hire Shula that he would bring Scheelhaase in as his OC. They might want to make sure they are comfortable with that.

Agreed with the being familiar and comfortable
    But
    McDaniel is a heckuva OC
McDaniel and Flores both got fired at HC Level
Not expecting them 2 to be HC this soon again

I would totally be on board with McDainel as OC.

Starting to think Shula makes a lot of sense. Front runner now or perhaps Hafley.

You are correct. For some reason I was still thinking about him as Tampa's defensive backs coach even though I know they hired him from the Vikings.

My brain doesn't always function properly.

Wow, didn't know that. I thought he was just the Vikings defensive backfield coach before the Steelers hired him as HC.

Flores's contract is up at the end of the season, so he will be able to go to any interviews he wants to after the Superbowl.

The fact the Steelers decided they don't want to wait that long, and requested an interview immediately may say something about how they value Flores.
