I think we’ll see a lot of vets retire. Doubt they want to start over with a new HC. Rogers wont be back I bet.

It was always Thielen's plan to hang it up at the end of the season. He was hoping to get a last hurrah with a playoff team but unfortunately that was with an Arthur Smith game plan and a Tomlin do what we do attitude.

Always liked Thielen. Kind of a shame his role was as limited as it was during his brief stint here.

Some team will get him to un-retire late in the Spring I bet.

I dont know why it was, they were in desperate need of a #2 WR.

As the OP stated, the first of many players to likely retire. I suspect that Aaron Rodgers is next. Cam Heyward wouldn't surprise me either; All Pro Season or not. Jalen Ramsey is likely jettisoned as he isn't what he used to be.

Biggest one is Patrick Queen. Get his ass out of here ASAP. Dude is not worth his contract value whatsoever. :lolol:

i thought since retirement is the theme of the week i would extend it to TJ. Or Maybe he’ll have a resurgence under the new coaching staff.

    or not.

Obviously his best days are behind him but I feel he will still want to play and he will contribute, just not what we were use to.

I read an author from England. That psychological thriller genre.

In her about me page on Amazon she said she loves eating cake while sitting on the couch watching diet and exercise programs.

I strongly agree. I'll bet a full 1/3 of the roster won't be back. And 1/2 gone within the first two years.

As I said in another thread, It's easier to cut someone else's pick than your own.

TJ didn’t do squat this year. He was owned by nearly every offensive lineman he faced. They used to double and triple team him but towards the end of the season teams were just going one on one and he still didn’t sniff the QB. His play has literally fallen off the cliff. To say he was a disappointment would be a complete understatement. If he comes back it would more than likely be the same or even worse. At one time he was my favorite player but lately I think he should just walk away. Really, there are probably only 5 players that I think should be kept. I know that’s not possible but I really think it’s the overhaul that is needed.

“Look, I’ve been watching the game films since I took the job. And I can tell you guys that the reason you’ve been losing is not because of your attitude, or your psyche, or any of that stuff. The problem is you’re just not good enough. You know, you can’t run fast enough, you can’t jump high enough, you’re not quick enough. Your techniques are just abysmal. I’m probably going to have to get rid of most of you...and we’re going to move on.”

Thielen is...what...35 years old? In 5 years, he'll be old enough for a job playing on our defense.
