Because a one year is not really a turn around, it's a blip on the screen. Now if one of these so called turn around actually make the SB, that's a different thing, but just to have one good year out of 4 without a SB isn't a turn around.

I am not pissed so much about MT, its the Rooney's that need to sell the team to someone with the right goals in mind. You make a good point. He was also the main reason Pickens was traded. I read an article that said Tomlin headed up that trade. I guess it doesn't matter now because he is gone. I hope they get the next coach right!

 

In time he will be an afterthought. I can assure you I won’t miss him like I ended up missing Cowher. Even if we go 5-12 every year I will never say man I would die to go 10-7 and get beat by 30 in the WC round.

I think he only won the 1 SB he won because it was with Cowher's players. Then in 2010 it was a mix of Cowher players and Tomlin players. Yes, Scheelhasse seems like he would be a good choice. A lot of coordinators from the McVay tree have done well if I remember correctly.

 

Of course it was Cowhers foundation a loaded D and Ben in his prime. I mean he gets some credit for not messing it up but minimal.

 

The WC round beatdowns was embarrassing. I knew we were going to get thumped by the Texans. I am surprised it took until the fourth quarter.

Cowher was one of the main reasons I became a Steeler fan. I am from FL and ALWAYS like Cowher in the 90s-2000s. When they lost in the AFC Championship games when he had Kordell Stewart in 1997 and 2001. He did a great job with Stewart because he was a wide receiver converted into a QB. Tomlin could have never done that IMO.
