Part of your quote had something about Johnson in it that's why I mentioned it.

I haves many many years of being pissed off. I haven't watched a PS game in almost 4 years. No reason to actually. Who is better using their head and time, rabid fans investing gobs of time, money, other recourses and the end result is aways the same. OR someone who already knows the end result of each season, because the same inmates were running the asylum, they knew what was going to happen, saved time, money, family trips on weekends, etc and it turned out to be just that, another October failure, one and done, and smoked big. Some may think they are a bigger fan than me because they do waste so much being a fan of a yearly Titanic voyage, but I got a lot done on game days and was very pleased that I did. That all changes now with the regime change so I'll revert to more of a fan like I was since 1978, and you know why? I don't know what is going to happen next year with real coach and not rah rah MT. :hmm:

    So....

This was the full quote. There isn't any mention by me stating anything about Ben Johnson.

True, but he did not have a good QB for those years. I am just saying the grass is not always greener. That said it was time for Tomlin to go. His voice had grown stale.

I'm sure as hell not celebrating Tomlin being gone.
In fact I find it sad that it came to this point while at the same time recognizing that it dang sure had come to this point.

It was time and arguably past time for this to happen and I appreciate the fact that he himself realized it and made the decision to walk away.
Maybe it was the fans chanting "Fire Tomlin" and booing the team or maybe he realized that whatever he was doing just wasn't working any more and he didn't know how to make the changes needed or was unwilling to.

    Whatever.

We have some very interesting times coming ahead.

I have to say though, as a fan since the 70's I have zero respect for Art Rooney II. None. Nada. Zilch.

Noll: Total wins including playoff wins = 209

Tomlin: Total wins including playoff wins = 201.

    Try again!
