What could the Steelers get in a trade for DK Metcalf?

I'll settle for a thrid round pick.

Some out there please take him and his cap # away for the Steelers.

honestly, get him out for anything. But I’m sure the dead money there is an issue although they can exercise the “bad decisions” clause still to void the contract?

We're still out here trying to trade guys that aren't the main problem? We have 0 WR's outside of Metcalf. We legitimately can't trade him lol we also didn't void any guarantees from his suspension, so the organization invested in him. Lets worry about getting someone to play next to him first. Then we can worry about shipping him out.

We just went through this didn’t we? Get rid of WR1 and replacing with another WR1 while ignoring WR2-3

Maybe a 5th. But with that salary? Probably no takers at all.

    On a serious note?!

A 5th at best. Regardless, it is a bad contract for a player who is combustible and underachieving. No team is going to take that on unless Pittsburgh takes most, if not all of, D.K.'s remaining money to him that is due.

Even then?! I still would find it very hard to believe that a team would even entertain the thought.

I think the answer is to roll with DK until the contract is up or it is easier to get out from it, but draft a rookie who can play like a #1B wide receiver.

Dont forget the Steelers can void his guarantees. That makes trading him much easier.

A possibility I did not think they would enact when it was first reported but given the changes at HC and how badly DK screwed up, it could happen.

So we traded a pro bowl WR1 with a bad attitude for an inferior WR1 (but still WR1 level) also with a bad attitude. We were better off not changing anything in the first place.

I will not tolerate this slander.

Yes, his drop was huge. But there’s seriously something wrong with Rodgers brain where you make one mistake and he never looks your way again. Metcalf got only one more target the rest of the game after his drop after dominating. It makes 0 sense. I hear Pat Freiremuth told Rodgers no once at OTAs so he doesn’t look his way until down 2 scores in the 4th.

The lesson here is don’t do ayahuasca folks!!

I forgot about the void! Thanks Blast!

AJ and DK are the same guy.

AJ has a really good young WR on the other side of him, and that is what we need.

WR is a priority in the draft.

Yea, DK and TJ are untradable. We're going to have to keep them a season and reevaluate this in 27. Perhaps TJ retires after next season and makes the decision for us. There's moves that certainly be made, but who knows which players a new staff will want to keep/offload.
