Practice is underway, and the weather is nice. I'll try to copy paste some updates I see from out of camp.

Right now, the receivers are working on fielding punts.

"Sanders with a brilliant one handed punt catch to save A. Brown from a head shot."

"Reggie Dunn pulls off catching punt holding three balls."

The punt catching with multiple balls was something they were doing yesterday, too.

"OLine drills Pouncey, Malecki and Beachum all taking snaps at center."

"New conditioning includes slow hurdles, one leg, speed ladder, high step and a circle of cones "

"QBs and backs working in a shotgun scrambling drill. One coach holds up a blocking pad to get in passing lane."

"DeCastro, Adams on right & Foster, Gilbert on left doing 2-man drills against line straight outside zone technique being taught"

"QBs throwing quick hitches to wideouts. Running backs doing come drills"

"Four of 5 Steelers starting OL are wearing knee braces on both knees. Mike Adams only one not."

Drew Butler kind of kicking Brian Moorman butt right now during special teams period.

"Beachum alternating C-LT on 2nd team OL. Hubbard (LG) and Long (LT) shuffle accordingly"

"Isaac Redman shows some burst on outside zone run."

"Whoa look at big Worilds 40 yards downfield to chase Redman out of opposite sideline."

"Oof. Paulson just school J Jones. He broke outside, Jones inside."

"Jones shifts inside for a blitz. Moye with an easy drop. Was wide open."

"Dunn with two drops in a row. First was tough, should have had second."

"Paulson beats Worilds in a post. Big gain."

"Dunn with a wide open drop now."

We at least we aren't hearing brown, Sanders, Wheaton, cotch, and Burress dropping balls. It sounds like plax is having a good camp he may make me eat my words.

Lol, true enough. You never know what the NFLPA may have slipped in that fine print.

Thanks, Mac. How Mrs. TTF continues to put up with me I'll never know. :lolol:

The way I see it, they are finally trying new things to stay healthy. Taking action instead of crossing their fingers and hoping no one will get hurt this year. This is what I've been asking for.

    Let's hope so.

New things are good, although I will draw a line at TTF's new version of the cone drill.

Any news on what Landry Jones has been up to?

While it's early days, he didn't seem to be exactly sizzling in minicamp. Would be interested to see if he's developing or still looking a little rabbit in the headlights (judging from reports).

I haven't seen anything specifically about Jones, but I did see a blurb this morning that Wilson had the strongest arm in camp.

It's so early still. One observer mentioned yesterday that he was scrambling more than necessary for drills in shorts. Jim Wexell wrote this about him this morning-

"It appears that his arm is stronger than it was this past spring" and he's "Probably a lock as the third-teamer ahead of strong-armed but erratic John Parker Wilson."

I was at training camp on Sunday. Had a great experience. My daughter was able to get AB's autograph which made her year. She also got Ike's. My nephew got Ben's.

Ben overthrew receivers a few times. His arm looks really strong. Wheaton struggled a bit at first but settled down later on. Redman does look really fast. Bell was solid too. The punt returners fielding balls while holding three was very entertaining.

Heath was there with his knee wrapped. Looks like he is still pretty gimpy. Ben wrapped and iced his knee after practice. Troy looks gimpy as well...or maybe that is just how he runs? Looked like he was sore to me.

I will definitely go back again. Its great to interact with the players. Ryan Clark was the class clown and was pretty entertaining :smiley1:
