The BFT Official "RANT" THREAD!!!

So I had this idea that everyone loves to rant every now and then and I figure all my bros on here are no different. So I decided that maybe it would be a cool thing to start a thread to where we can all come and rant about the little things that really get under our skin. I went on a rant the other night and my wife told me to just drop it so I figured I would come here and air it out. Of course I will do it within guidelines and am sure that others will too (well mostly sure...) LOL. So here is my rant...

I am sick and absolutely tired of America's obsession with "royalty" and in particular the "Royal" Family. Do people not understand that this country was founded on the complete OPPOSITE of what those people represent???!!! We considered a King a tyrant and men risked their lives and some GAVE their lives to free us from living under a monarchy. Those people live off the backs of people that work and tax the crap out of people to fund whatever ridiculous thing they feel like. That is the complete antithesis of what we as Americans believe in. George Washington refused to be called anything but "President" and stepped down after 8 years just to send the message that we don't believe in one man having that much power for that long. Our founding document said "We the People" and all of our laws were polar opposites of what the king would allow. So I can't understand what people's fascination is with these losers! People shouldn't be envious of them. THEY should be envious of US! So why is it that people are so interested in watching for these people to have another child? I'm all happy for them to have a child but to think that American people would be so interested in a king is just ridiculous to me. We are a nation founded in absolute DEFIANCE of a king. Recognize people! Recognize! Ok. Now I feel better.

Or whatever the media wants you to watch, to distract you from the inaction of our "elected officials", representing "The will of the people" who elected them!!!...

Okay, I'll play too.

You know what I hate? Property Taxes. I shouldn't have to pay a damn school tax if I have no kids, or never have any intention to have children. Pay for your own damn kid! But I Know realistically that can't happen, because then the tax burden on families would be incredibly high. I can still complain about it though.

I think it was a great idea, but, maybe ppl here, don`t want to be seen as a "whiner", or their complaints are "political" in nature, so they are afraid to bring em up???
I dunno... just seems like people are afraid to speak up here, or sumthin...
Seems like the perfect place for it, to me...
So, I`ll go...
Dumbing down the country, by our "education" system, by implementing standardized tests, instead of teaching kids to think independently...
Prescribing Ritalin, to normal kids, who are just bored with learning lists, or looking up answers to questions on their worksheets, that tell them which page of the textbook to find the answer on...
Or Ignoring the potential for creating a ton of jobs, based on more "green" jobs... Solar power, wind power, anything that will power a car, besides an internal combustion engine, that relies on fossil fuels, harvested from countries that hate us...
Or, maybe, just maybe, replacing the crumbling infrastructure in this country, and thereby creating jobs, fixing our bridges, roads, damns, sewer systems, electrical grid, replacing crumbling, empty, buildings,etc, etc, that were made 40 years ago or more, by the Public Works Act...
I say it`s time for round two of that... created plenty of jobs, and helped build our country at the same time...
Alas, all the guys that get elected to do all this care about, is keeping their golden job, and not representing the needs of the people they supposedly represent!
Let`s see... what else bugs me...
LOcking up tons of non-violent offenders, that happen to like to get high, instead of legalizing Marijuana, and taxing the **** out of it, like cigarettes, or gas, to bring more money in...
Ummmm....
Being afraid of hurting someone`s feelings, to the point of not speaking the truth, because it might "offend" someone...
Putting helmets and knee pads on every kid that rides a bike, or plays outside...
Seeing commercials pushing pills to fix every possible ailment known to man, and some that weren`t known about, until the drug companies found a way to "fix" it, followed by the litany of "disclaimers" about the side effects of the drugs they are pushiung.
For instance, one of my favorites... "this drug may cause suicidal thoughts", about a drug meant to fight depression!!!
Let`s see... what else bugs me?...

Athletes/celebrities making obscene amounts of money, while our teachers/cops/soldiers, etc, struggle to make a living...

Anyhow, I don`t really like to complain, so, maybe that`s why this thread has a surprising lack of responses...
Just seemed like a great idea, to me, to let people here ***** about whatever got on their nerves, on a given day.
Take advantage of it, people! You will probably find that you`re not alone in being bugged about whatever bugs you!

Dude I agree 1 MILLLLLLION PERCENT!!! That's one of the most annoying things in the WORLD! I just want to go to those morons and say "hey you want to improve your odds of having money??? THEN DON'T BUY LOTTERY TICKETS!!!" LOL! But really the gas station should have a totally separate line for that crap but still that wouldn't do much to deter it because the cashier still has to wait on them. But man I'm totally with you on that.

 

I also just realized this the other day. We stopped at McDonalds to get Ben a happy meal and I've not looked in the bag of a happy meal in forever. So I just said to him that when he finished his food I would give him the cookies and my wife informed me that they don't put cookies in there anymore! I was like "WHHHHHAAAAAT!!!!????" Man that made me so dang mad that I couldn't stand it and still does! How absolutely stupid is that? I'm so sick of the dang food nazis pushing their agenda on the rest of us. I mean you just fed your kid a high calorie burger and a bag of fries but then they're like "OH BUT WE'RE GONNA KEEP YOU HEALTHY BY TAKING AWAY 3 LITTLE COOKIES!"???? Are you kidding me??? What has happened to the good old American institutions like a happy meal with cookies? McDonalds needs to have their head examined for giving in to all these fascist "health and fitness" snobs. I know people that are sold on that crap and they're like "I would NEVER feed my kid a happy meal" and I'm like "yeah and that's why your kid will never be happy!" I mean good grief how hypocritical is it to take the COOKIES but keep the GREASE SOAKED BURGER AND BUN??? My kid is being robbed of the fun I had as a kid because apparently the Hamburglar has came and stole the cookies!
