No one who knew DK’s history is surprised by this.

This is why I thought the Pickens bashing was overblown.

    NAH NOT REALLY
    for you maybe

I'm not worried about the upcoming games and I feel the Steelers will be a stable environment to him.

It's not like he held a girl hostage in a bar bathroom or asked the front desk to come and repair his TV knob

Yes, and he has a history of making bad decisions on the field because he can't control his emotions. This one might cost his team a playoff berth, so no, I won't stop. It is a fair point. The Steelers put way too much stock in MEtcalf, and that stock just went bust.

A receiver can't win games by himself, but he can lose them. Metcalf might have just done that to the Steelers.

Team players don't selfishly walk over to confront a fan in the stands during a game and get themselves suspended for two crucial games.

Translation: I'm right. You can't refute it, and you can't admit when you are wrong, so you post silly nonsense to cover it up.

I believe this was already posted in the thread. Metcalf has been ejected from two games in his NFL career for fighting with other players. He has been fined other times for such behavior. The NFL could have considered that history a factor when punishing Metcalf.

Don't get me wrong. No way in hell is two games justified. Not when you see what Lawson did without getting suspended. Not when you see what Jackson did earlier this season. I'm furious with the NFL for this decision, but I am absoltuely disgusted with Metcalf for being so stupid and selfish. He deserves the massive financial hit he is going to take, but his team does not deserve what he did to it by getting himself banned from two games with a playoff berth on the line.

The Steelers were stupid to go into a season relying so heavily on Metcalf. They were stupid to trade Pickens. They were stupid to fail to acquire another starting-caliber receiver before the season started. They were stupid not to overpay for Jakobi Meyers. I think they didn't like how it would look to give up more for Meyers than they got for Pickens, and they would have looked terrible for that, but that short-sightedness could end up wasting a promising season. The Steelers look dangerous right now, but it won't mean a thing if they lose the next two games.

not being mean, but I won't be missing him.

also I am not shocked him behaved like this. I told y'all he has a worse problem than pickens.

if pickens did this, y'all would be screaming to cut him.

He has a history of losing his cool during games. How do you not see how that translates?

I know there are aspects of this situation where we agree, but that is an understatement. Rooney should be raising hell, but we won't hear a peep from him.

Still doesn't warrant a two-game suspension when two other players did the same thing to a fan and didn't even get fined.

I agree. The Jackson thing was different. The guy slapped his head. Lawson's situation, however, was the same.

One factor the NFL may have considered is that Metcalf and this fan have a history. From the videos and info we have, it's hard to say whether or not Metcalf recognized the jerk before interacting with him. If he did, though, that's definitely an aggravating factor.

Perhaps, and maybe the league is covering up its own culpability in allowing a fan to harass one of its players during multiple games. Isn't letting that loser win encouraging fans to try even harder to bait players on opposing teams?

Metcalf is the reason they are on the cusp of a title. Just sayin...

A combination of Muth and Washington gets us the yards per game that Metcalf has. Just hope Smith doesn't elevate Jonnu to WR1...:swoon:
