I really have no idea why the Ravens are favored to beat the Pats. The Pats are surely the better team.

You dont have to change on my account. I have no problem with it being used because I dont own it. The 90's Steelers under Cowher was when I went from casual fan to fanatic and Lloyd and Greene the way Steeler football should be played. Love the 70's Steelers but I was 6 in 1980 and had no idea about what football was so I missed the Steel Curtain days.

I did it with Glenn when the board first went live because in his first few posts he mentioned knee jerk reactions. On the original Steelers run board we had this condescending jerk that also had Glenn in his screen name. He called everyone knee jerk reactionists and brag that he only needed to get up each day to watch his money coming in. In the what jersey to buy threads he talked about paying over 400 dollars for an authentic jersey. He said he had front row seats at SB30 but that never added up since he would have been younger than me in 95 and I had just turned 21, I can't imagine anyone getting front row seats at a SB before the age of 20 besides rich ppl. Any how I was wrong and apologized many times after that.

First, glad you enjoyed the discussion. I did as well and was not attempting to argue just talk about somethings I thought were interesting.

second, Lloyd was my first favorite player as a youngster.

I remember an old vhs that came as a promo with Sports Illustrated that had a bit interviewing QBs about who hit them the hardest. I believe more than one said Lloyd.

Imagine if they had run that with two stud receivers all year.

 

I saw that Tomlin also mentioned that the team felt that the Dolphins lacked depth at CB and were attempting to exploit that specific part of their defense. Be interesting to see if it continues (use of 11 personnel) or if it was a one off gameplan thing.

 

The passing game seemed to struggle too often with 12/13 personnel packages, if MVS can make a couple of big plays down field then it's worth it using more 11 personnel.

 

If they used it all year then defenses would adjust. Can't discount the surprise factor with a personnel shift in a single game.

 

No way in Hell did the staff switch things up. That's NOT the standard.
