Talk about not even trying to win. This is why some people believe the NFL is rigged.

If we get in, can we get a playoff game on Monday night please?

I was thinking the opposite. If NFL was rigged, the Dolphins would have been helped by the refs and there would be more urgency... so Lamar and Ravens could win the division and get into the playoffs.

Sports media would prefer Ravens over Steelers any day of the week. Truth. Lamar is a media darling.

I think the coach needs thicker glasses.

The refs tried to help the Phins. Several missed holding calls by Dolphins Oline. Cam was held for nearly 5 seconds on the scramble and had hands to his facemask throughout the game. They were still no match for the Steelers last night though.

I was totally confused by Miami's lack of urgency. Zero hurry up offense and then called TOs under 2m. Just ask you stated, 'strange.'

Greeny from ESPN made an analogy akin to a runner who’s running a “long race” he knows he can’t win. He begins the race running full bore just to say he had the lead at one point. His point was the Dolphins had essentially conceded in the latter stages of the 4rth QTR while at the same time wanting to keep the score respectable.

This was the worst time management you’d ever seen in an NFL game and that’s saying something because theirs been some really poor clock management over the years, however—this was unlike any I can remember, maybe ever.

EDIT: One could argue Mike Greenbergs analogy wasn’t the most sound he could’ve made, but his point was still understandable.

I think they were probably agreeing with the overall point not to take your foot off the gas.

They’ll know better now not to trust my doopid math.

What is even stranger is the QB and players being okay with it.

If I’m a QB being paid big money or even a rookie I’m going up tempo. No way in hell I’m in the huddle and letting the clock go to 2 seconds.

Remember when last head coach said ownership didn’t really want to win. Sure looked like it last night.

what’s crazy is there was like 9 minutes left when Aikmen pointed this out. This was the same team that once beat Baltimore when they were down a few scores with 3 minutes left a few years ago.

    Thank you Pythagoras. ;)

It can be proved using the law of cosines or as follows:

Let ABC be a triangle with side lengths a, b, and c, with a2 + b2 = c2. Construct a second triangle with sides of length a and b containing a right angle. By the Pythagorean theorem, it follows that the hypotenuse of this triangle has length c = a 2 + b 2 [IMG], the same as the hypotenuse of the first triangle. Since both triangles' sides are the same lengths a, b and c, the triangles are congruent and must have the same angles. Therefore, the angle between the side of lengths a and b in the original triangle is a right angle.

He looks like the 3rd grader who sat at the very front of the class and volunteered to shake out the erasers in order to get straight A’s. I swear he has a 1000 pairs of glasses. They are disgustingly too fashionable for an NFL HC.

He did coach a fantastic game. Like everyone have Pedal to the meal the rest of the season. Stay on your couches like a new suit.

Dolphins clock management and lack of urgency really helped. That and Tua. I couldn’t help think ole man Rivers would’ve picked up the pace in the 4rth to make it a nail biter once again. I’ve seen it, we’ve lived it.

I think he is living in his fears: fears of getting fired! nothing more motivating than fans chanting fire his ass.

I'm glad with the outcome. Hope accountability continues and he keeps it up for another SB win (soon).

I think the sport media would get a kick out of old man Rodgers over Lamar this year.

The Phins scored in junk time and never threatened the game after the first score of the second half. That was a blowout.

Next time if we go for it on 4th and short, run a play action. with a quick dump off to gainwell in the flat. Everyone knew we were going to run it up the middle. Lions will be ready for it
