If he keeps playing like this, do you hope he returns, or is this like Favre in 2009 and you’d rather not have a 2010?

If he keeps playing like he did tonight I would want him back.

I’d sign Aaron to two more years and make sure Will Howard eats, sleeps and drinks all the knowledge AR has for the next two years.

And if Rodgers plays like crap the last three games you still want him to come back?

He is the best QB we have had since Ben left. It is nice to have a competent and experienced QB running the show. Right now, I absolutely (but don't expect) would like to see him return next year. If he does not return, our starting QB is not on the roster right now. That means we will be shopping the other dusty old QBs out there looking for 1 final shot at some glory days since there is not scenario where I see the Steelers starting a rookie. FYI......there is no chance of Ben pulling a Rivers and coming back to save our season.......lol

I really hope that 2026 is a year that our next franchise QB gets to sit behind AR and really learn the game from a HOF QB before taking the reins in 2027. Could be Howard (but probably not based on historical trends), or another draft pick that we get in 2026.

Yep same here. I have fallen in love with the Steelers all over again. I'm so primed to be abused but this time is different. I can feel it.

Well if we win the SB hopefully our franchise QB will be there at pick 32.

    1. He does not want to
    2. His deep ball is not there. Majority games he missed the connection of 20+ yards.
    3. 5 games his QBR is below 100
    4. 4 games were below 200.

    So, final answer is no.

But I would take him as a coach. Dude is livid with perfection. He'll curse you out, even if you catch the ball. And he'll school refs for missing obvious calls, like 12 men on the field.

Rodgers in 2026 means not a SB contender and it will be another year without a long term QB.

Rogers is the best QB we've had since Ben (maybe better if he was younger)
I can't stress enough the additional value he has brought almost like an additional coach.
    But I don't know about a 42/43-year-old QB.

Maybe if he is ok with the sole purpose of mentoring a QB (be it a new one or Howard, who does have a year under him)

There are 5 QB's that are coming out that will be the most considered.
I have no idea what this front office is considering but they have to come up with some sort of solution.

Rodgers' football knowledge is incredible, his vision, attention to detail, and knowing where to place the ball. Last night he was fun to watch. He has over exceeded my expectations and to be honest, is the reason this team is contending for a playoff spot. I am not sure about bringing him back due to his age, and he doesn't sound sure either.

The Steelers can't keep kicking the QB can and play the insert vet QB game every season. Bringing in someone like Kirk Cousins or Mac Jones is waving the white flag on trying to win a Superbowl, those guys aren't good enough and cost too much. We need a rookie QB, cap friendly, so you can build a talented roster, notably in the trenches around him. In the next two years, they need to get a QB in the draft.

It's a hypothetical question among fans based on current performance. It's fine.

There's no question that he's been giving us the best QB play we've had since Ben. I'm a bit shocked at how live his arm still is. And he's clearly got the brain for the game. The only question is how long his body can stay healthy. We keep him clean, he can for sure play another season at a high level. I'd take him back for another season over any other 40 year old QB. But at some point, we have to pull the trigger on a young QB.

Aaron was also horrible in a few games this year. After the Charger game, most wanted him gone. He wasn’t that good in Bills, Seahawk game either. Mason played better than him in Cincinnati game. He has been up and down. He hasn’t convinced me one way or the other. He has been like the Steeler defense this year. Jekyll and Hyde. If the pattern continues, he will have a bad game against the Lions. I am not in favor of putting band aid on problems and he is a band aid. A high quality band aid but band aid none the less.

This will probably be Rodgers swan song season. I don't see him returning, but I may be wrong. 2026 will likely be Rudolph, Howard and 1st round draft pick QB.

I hope he returns. Until and unless we get our next franchise QB, he will be the best option until he falls apart. The main question is how much longer he's willing to play. He has a near 100 QB rating and he's near his career averages for most stats except yards per game. He's done this with a suspect line and one quality wide receiver.

You really think Howard is the future of this franchise? I'm not saying he isn't, but there is a reason teams passed on him for almost 6 rounds.
