Dang straight I did. People down here know how to make their lightning and wines together, when needed.

 

I've been to a lot of states, the south and Kentucky rule. The rest are missing out.

Random, You ever try Kentucky bourbon ale?

 

It's hit or miss in that state. For me it is
Tn, GA, Ky are tired in first place (those 3 do different things and excel at it. I rarely have complaints).

Mountains of north carolina
These two are great. With a slight drop

After those, it's a significant drop....
Some areas in south Indiana, Illinois
And then Arkansas
Then north California does good, but for only wine. Same with upstate NY.
After that it gets lower and lower in percentage of a state.

My wife who was adopted took one of those dna kit tests

She found out all of her relatives are hillbillies from one little dot in West Virginia

She regrets taking the test and finds no humor when I start humming the banjo part from Deliverance

(this message will self destruct if my wife ever logs on)

 

Then she might not have appreciated the T Shirt I got my brother for his last B Day - says "Paddle faster, I think I hear banjo music!"

 

I can just see you back in the 90's...... . But congrats Santee, proud of you my Friend. I choose not to but it's an easy choice. Getting older is hard enough to maintain continuity and stay awake.

 

I am a proud shiner of some really good brews.
My best handy work is Rum.
But I make some really mean 7 grain which is triple distilled and aged...
Honorable mention is Sourmash Whiskey.

Most brewed in WV but I do use imported ingratiates too.
Tim's place (Climax) was right down the road from me... so I learned some new tricks over the years.

South Carolina is a little harder to do, you definitely need to bring in some Kentucky water.

 

I spent a portion of the 80s in Newport Beach so, it would have been trying to be a Tony Montana (thank God I didn't make that much money)! In tha 90s it would have been, "Bring us some good dark rum! And none of that Captain Morgan crap"!
