It's that time again

This time of year I ALWAYS stoop to watching CFL and AFL. We have withdraws so bad, we'll watch anything football

 

It's so bad that, right now, I'm watching an NFL films about the '76 Buccaneers!?

Curious, is the CFL half decent to watch? I've watched a little Arena ball and it's kind of fun. The CFL is a higher tier, must not be to bad, aye?

 

NASCAR guys......The perfect between seasons sport....IMHO

It's god awful! It's barely even the same game

 

It uses a football. Ha-ha

 

It's like watching Arena - you have to watch it as a different game to enjoy it.

The main issue I have with CFL is the scores seem to get adjusted as I'm watching without me even noticing - a lot of 1 and 2 point scoring outside of your conventional TDs and FGs.

 

I was in such need of a football fix yesterday that I watched an NFL Network show on the 1976 Bucaneers. They actually managed to put more players on IR(17) than touchdowns scored(15).

 

Yeah, the rules are insane.

Yeah all of a sudden Edmonton got 1 point and I still don't know how they got it. I was like Holy point scored batman, where 'd it come from?

 

That looks like total effin mayhem.

 

It's like each team can sneak points on to the board, provided the other team doesn't notice... but if they do, then it's a 7 point penalty...

 

it's not that bad to watch, but i don't know the teams or players. once in awhile you hear some familiar names though. i'd love to see them change some rules and add a few teams to the NFL. like hockey and baseball always had.

 

Watched some Arena ball the past couple and it can get crazy fun. One game I watched the ball hit off a spectator then back into play and off another spectator, only to come back into play and then score! It was legal hahahahaha!!! It's like they used the ricochet off an unbeknownst drunk near the endzone to their advantage. LOL

It's all short game so you can see where a QB can get that quick release down (A la Kurt Warner).
Good training in that aspect.

 

Yeah, the running starts are very entertaining.

 

The one guy's name is Prefontaine...he was a pretty fast runner wasn't he?

 

WHAT!?!?!?!??! What the heck was Bettis THINKING running out of bounds like that? We've gotta get RID of him....

what the heck did i just watch? that looked like a comedy skit someone was putting on trying to make fun of football. it almost looked like fun, but there is no way you could actually watch that and take it seriously.
