    To be honest, if it wasn't prog metal, metal, country music, Bluegrass, or it didn't play on MTV in the 80s, I probably didn't listen to it.

    In the early days of MTV, I was in Mexico most of the year, primarily in Cabo San Lucas. We all gathered at the only place in town that, A) had a satellite dish and B) had a subscription to this channel we had heard of, but not seen. We'd go to the Giggling Marlin for happy hour! It was kind of a double edged sword though. Songs that you really liked but, then you would see what they looked like? Yikes!
