Mine is still Vinny Testaverde. He always seemed to throw picks when we needed it most. Including in college, since I'm a Penn State alumnus.

Lamar is like 3-6 against the Steelers I think.

In the gameday thread, I said that we needed jackson to make a boneheaded play in order for us to win during that last drive

Romo kept praying for Jackson to start running all over the field.

That was a Raven’s love fest from the TV announcers.

    They were so disappointed.

Lamar Jackson doesn’t do anything to dislike him. He’s playing hurt. More than we think. But this was always going to be an issue with running a lot. It’s starting to come to a head. He will need to adjust and not turn into Cam Newton.

I agree OX. If he doesn't adjust his play he's gonna shorten his career

There is already evidence of that happening. Me and @S.T.D@S.T.D have been saying this about Lamar for a while now; unbelievably talented but also an unbelievable risk. Lamar has been on borrowed time for the past two seasons.

He has been battling lower body injuries dating back to 2023. Hamstring injuries, ankle injuries, toe injuries, etc. Those didn't keep him out long term sans the Hamstring Injury but even those nicks during the season will wear on the body. This season seems to be the beginning in which those prior nagging issues are finally taking a bit of a toll.

He sure as hell isn't as quick nor fast as he used to be; doubly so during his NFL MVP days. It also doesn't help that Lamar has had to have the Offense constructed around him and solely him until last season when Derrick Henry came into the fold. Now, Derrick Henry is also feeling the effects of Father Time and Lamar is beginning to feel that he himself is on borrowed time no less. Doesn't mean he is any less the Superstar QB that he has rightfully earned but it does mean he will not be nearly as incredible as he once was.

    Will he be able to?!

His entirety of his career has been molded around playing both off script and creating time using his mobility. He can pass in the pocket but he sure isn't a pocket passer like Joe Burrow or Jared Goff.

This is always my fear of the running Qb. You must win early, and often, because you won't be around like a Brady, Ben, or hell even Rodgers. The body can't take the abuse of a RB, and expect to play longer than an RB....also because of the athletic ability , the running Qb takes longer to develop as a pocket Qb, and therefore by the time he does, his body is shot.

The "Hefty Lefty" Super Bowl QB was Jared Lorenzen, a large, left-handed quarterback who won Super Bowl XLII as a backup with the New York Giants,

I think he still holds some Kentucky passing records but unfortunately he dug his grave with a fork and died at age 38.
