The Lions offense is a major mismatch for our defense...They can dominate by the run and pass. Can't focus on one thing against this team.Their 8-5 record is not great but they have one of the hardest schedule in the NFL this season.Overall the steelers don't matchup well against the NFC north.....If the vikings would not have major issue at the QB position, the steelers would been likely 0-4 against this division but instead it willl be 1-3 unless the lions offense have turnovers at a crazy rate against us

They don't matchup well against Gibbs as runner or as receiver and Williams is such a great deep threat...It will be ugly but the steelers can afford to lose this game now

Higgins and Brown are better than the Lions' receivers.

You have said it before. The Steelers are wildly inconsistent. So are the Lions. A lot will depend on the Steeler health. They need Harmon and Dugger back. Without them, I'm far more concerned about Gibbs and Montgomery running all over the Steelers.

We do indeed suck. The Steelers could still win the division with two losses because rest of the division is just awful. The Ravens schedule is brutal, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, and Steelers. Can they win two of those? Not likely. An AFC North title this season is like winning an ugly Christmas sweater contest.

Right now we would be playing the Texans in the Wild Card. Yikes.

Wonder how much of this is (1) we've played the most number of defensive snaps in the league and (2) our D is old.

    Re: 1, it's not close.

The median number of defensive plays this year is ~800 (61.5 plays per game).

We've played 897 defensive plays (69 plays per game). Maybe an extra 7.5 plays per game doesn't sound like much. But our defense has played just a little more than an extra 1.5 games on defense so far this year. Not great for an older unit.

Indy has seen the 2nd most defensive plays this year at 857. Basically half a game less than us.

KC has seen the fewest defensive plays (for teams with 13 games...Monday nighter hasn't happened yet). They have 728 defensive plays. About 2.75 games less than us.

ummmm - Smith sucks, the offense is pedestrian. it has Tomlin's fingers ALL over it

they play like it is 2006.

    wake up.

we add a 35 yr old this week.

have not developed a WR in many years.

    Coaching SUCKS

Steelers defense would implode vs Jaguars offense now that Lawrence has finally figured out how to be a consistent NFL QB.

Texans defense would literally hold Steelers offense to 50 total yards all game. It would be a shutout, unless Steelers could get scores on Special Teams or a crazy splash play on defense.

Metcalf got more involved because Rodgers was making good deep throws for the first time in about a month. I think a big part of that was the Ravens' weak pass rush. They have only 19 sacks this season, none against the Steelers. Only the Panthers and 49ers have fewer. The Steelers knew that they would have the time to attack down the field, at least until the Ravens adjusted by throwing more blitzes at Rodgers.

I’m kinda shocked Thielen and MVS didn’t get more catches.

I’ll be honest, MVS looked a little slow.

It was good enough to fool the Ravens and keep them guessing, but I suspect teams will eventually adjust.

Anybody who watched their running game disappear. Anyone who noticed Peat taking a couple of big penalties before leaving the game with a concussion.
