Johnu Smith must have some dirt on Arthur Smith to get so many snaps and targets despite being the 4th best TE on the team

rogers accused him to not showing up to watch film during practice. But he's still playing out there.
    The team is so lost

    1. Defensive talent is overrated, combined with poor coaching.
    2. Correct. The Steelers vulnerability since the early 90's.
    3. Again, defensive talent is overrated, combined with poor coaching.
    4. See 1 and 3.
    5. Meh.
    6. Agreed. Also, total player failure at every level. Total GM failure. Total ownership failure.
    7. See number 6.
    8. He's not the answer, 5th round backup. Steelers need to lose before they can win. That's how they got Bradshaw and Roethlisberger.
    9. See number 6.
    10. See number 6.

Bottom line is, ownership down to the stadium grounds crew...the Steelers are an average team. They define average at every level.

I just don't know where to begin. The team is just in disarray. TJ barked at Tomlin during the 4Q, Cam crashed out, PQ calling out former players on Twitter, Rodgers saying guys aren't running the right routes, and so on. The team needs fixed in terms of accountability, and then theres Tomlin giving the same exact post-game gibberish they he always does. Fixing the Xs and Os is a start, but until theres accountability, this team is going to continue to crash and burn.

Defense was able to stop a play maybe 3-4 times but failed to the other 20 times it was called. That wasn't a simple azzkickin, they snatched up our hearts and souls.

Offensively, couldn't move the ball. Struggled at everything. I'd give kudos to Buffalo, but this has been an ongoing issue.

The tune that best represents the rest of the season is "Free falling," by Tom Petty.

TJ is a crybaby that should be giving money back to the Rooney’s due to lack of production.

How do you design an offense for TEs, and never get the TEs the ball?

If you take away the "never had a losing season" bull****, there's literally nothing to reccomend his tenure here after Cowher's team aged out. What other team would le ta coach win a playoff game in 4 seasons out of 18 and keep extending him?

He is the greatest myth in NFL coaching History. Total media creation and when he's gone they'll all scrambling about trying to paper over the cracks in his resume and coaching that anyone with half a brain cell can see.

The team definitely missed Harmon. They had only two interior lineman on most plays with Watt and Highsmith playing more like 4-3 ends. This team has so many holes both in players and coaching - QB, #1 WR (Metcalf is a #2), probably a guard, another stud DT, etc. Team needs new schematics on both sides of the ball, and NEW COACHING! The NFL is about coaching more than any other pro league.

How bad does that TJ Watt contract look right now? At least he’s a 1 helmet guy!

coaches are a let down, but worse yet these players have quit. out there jogging after the play waiting for someone else to make the tackle. yes i'm talking about you TJ, mr. 30 mil a year. very sad to see. get friggin harrison off the field too. why is he playing so much? he is our old LB in a nutshell. let one guy block you and stand there and let him. he doesn't even try to get off the block. he just leans against the guy. i'd build this defense around peyton wilson, dugger, sawyer and herbig. fill in around them.

That was funny. Did I want him to succeed for us, hell yeah but I despised him almost as much as Brady. The great Aaron Rodgers has as many SB's as Trent Dilfer. I do know he gave us best chance entering season but now that it's obvious he is done and we suck I'll be glad when he is gone at end of season.

He will never be a Steeler to me.

Calling them average is giving them credit that they have not earned. They are at the bottom of the barrel in so many stat categories this year.

I have had similar thoughts all season. I have heard over and over that Arthur Smith is very big on TEs. We even brought Jonnu on when we already had 2 very good TEs. But they are mainly just being used as blockers. Late in the game when we are in the hurt locker, you will see some throws to them......but they are getting the ball less than a lot of other TEs around the league that are on teams that are not TE centric. Perplexing.

Remember the post that had AI projecting us to go 11-6 or 12-5? Our coaching staff is so good that they will outsmart AI
