I e been trying to tell people about this for a long time. Glad some of you are coming around, but it sucks watching Pickens dominate for Dallas.

Remember when he could only run go routes?

    What a mediocre coach.

Yup, but he is absolutely killing teams on slants, something the Steelers didn’t do nearly enough with him.

This tells a lot about the coaching tree in Pittsburgh right now.
No matter who is the OC, offense pathetic.
    Same with the defense

Thanks for speaking up. I appreciate it. Some others have done the same. But some are just going to keep moving the goal post all the way to the kid getting a jacket.

At first I just thought it was dumb to let go of Pickens for a few reasons
    1. They knew how he was at uga
    2. He was only an issue a couple times a season
    3. Tomlin never did anything to him for saying he had to sit out x game or x plays
    4. We only got a third and fifth. (And we could have got that from a comp pick of a third).

But after a month of him playing for Dallas it got more and more of a bad look on us. We clearly never used him to his potential.

The fact he already has a thousand yards, 7 TD, is insane.

Also, I'm curious if Dallas will
    A, do ERFA contract
B, have him sign it and then trade him
C, or do the rare move of trading him away to a team so they can do the ERFA.

I'm thinking so. But they have options.
    - keep Lamb and Pickens and learn how to make that offense more explosive. (They have the money)
    - trade one of them and build that defense.

I'm not sure if he'll break Chase contract. But the thing that won't sit right with me is looking at DK contract and how we are not using him right.

Pickens sure does make you sit up and take notice. I have no ill feelings toward him, just wish he was still a steeler. This will go down as one of the worst trades in steelers history.

    Or with any other WR.

Pickens was doomed had he not forced his way out. I am glad for him to have moved on. I am impressed he had enough brains to force himself out of the Steelers crappy offense.

Hell of a receiver duo Cowgirls have. Couple tough games on schedule but I could see them in Playoffs. Don't know a lot about them but that O made some big plays yesterday.

Sucks seeing them actually pass it to the two WRs.

Steelers could have had AB and Pickens and would still go with tons of TE formations.

Eagles still winning that division but cowboys can make wildcard. Chiefs and eagles had combined like 200+ penalty yards, home ass cookin lol

No, thank you. I'm not sure why you aren't getting this, but trading Pickens is a huge part of the narrative of the 2025 Steelers. It will continue to be that the rest of this season and up to the draft, when we see what the Steelers actually got for him.

Kinda reminds me of how they mismanaged LeVeon Bell and LeGarrette Blount.

Brought in Blount to have a one two punch, but because Tomlin still lives in the stone age where you have a bell cow back and don't load manage, they ran Bell into the ground. Blount walks out of the Tennessee game early after getting 0 carries, gets cut, which was probably his plan all along, goes to New England, and tears it up in the playoffs to help them win a Superbowl.

Meanwhile for us, Bell gets injured in the regular season finale, and we lose another playoff game because we have no one behind Bell, and can't run on the Ravens.

That offense was phenomenal. Really should have made it to a Superbowl.

Yet another instance of Tomlin being either unwilling or unable to manage a problematic player. At the very least, they should have benched his ass and refused to cut him.

Any super talented offensive weapon would be wasted on this team.

With them coming back against the eagles, I think they'll make a push.
