They certainly didn't play well (below the line).

DTDs should be instant win cards.

But the offense was mostly ****. Especially in the 2nd half.

I agree that the D was bad. But they were much better than the O IMO. Although I guess that's to be expected, so maybe the very low expectations for the O are coming through here.

I think this is cherry picking at least a little bit here.

I think Rodgers has been throwing to the middle of the field this year (although we rarely throw intermediate).

And I think Mason did it when he took the job from Kenny too (small sample).

On this team, I wonder how much of this is that we don't have guys that can get open? I also think Mason wants to see the guy open before he throws to him (like most guys who aren't above average QBs).

This is by far my biggest frustraction of this offense for years now....Nothing in the middle of the field between 10 to 20 yards,I am sick of that!

This offense is either a deep ball at low % on the sideline or out of bounds or a checkdown....almost nothing in between

Traded Pickens. Even though I can’t stand the guy.

I'd like to see it more too.

But with bad QBs (which we've mostly had), it's going to mean more losses.

I think this is another problem with the business model. This team's main focus is always on maximizing the chances of winning the next game. So we won't do something that prioritizes the medium term over the present.

I don't think it would have made a difference with Kenny because I don't think he's a starting QB. But when / if we get a young QB that looks competent, I hope we don't stunt them.

Can't pay the guy big bucks and have him pout and be discontent because of the offense. Can't have it unfortunately.

This is another frustration I have with this team!

This is possible the steelers would have more losses but at least the ceilling would be much higher!

Haven't you heard? If your team is getting the turnovers, your team really didn't deserve the win... At least that's the way people talk when its the Steelers defense getting them.

Nope. Should have kept the headcase and traded him during his contract year.

he kind of forced that one. Thats on MR. But maybe Pickens fights and comes down with that pass.

Weak game plan, unprepared/lost pass coverage, and poor in game decisions doomed us.

The “turtle offense” is a weakness for sure.

Defense could have played better. That has been the story all year.

Having said all of that, in a 3 point game, where we got the ball back and were driving….Rudolph is the overwhelming factor.

Alot of factors led up to that desperation drive. Rudolph was one factor maybe, not the main one. AR hasnt been a world beater either as of late.

It wasn’t a pick six. Defense is expected to step up once in a while. Metcalf could have played defender and just a nudge would have pushed the DB out. He barely got his knee in. Not defending Mason but it’s a team game. What about using Friermuth in middle of the field. That play worked once deep in our territory. Friermuth was wide open but the idiot Arthur Smith completely ignored the fact that middle of the field is where the weakness was with back up linebackers. Steeler coaches are not very smart people. Steelers are a low IQ team.
