I don't like Pickens though. Douchebag. I like DK. More professional. Some 2nd round picks can't catch 60 passes. I don't panic at some bs stats. I think he will be fine.

Whoever the QB is next year will like having DK as an option. Better than dealing with childish temper tantrums on the sideline.

    F*** Pickens.

Say whatever you want about your little personal feelings be hurt.

    Truth is
    - pickens is a higher completion rate
    - Pickens better at contested catches
    - Pickens catches with his hands
    - Pickens has more penalties of DPI
    - more TDs
    - Pickens played over half the games as #2

I like DK. But Pickens performance is better.

And it's still stupid we let pickens go without having a replacement.

The second-round pick was appropriate for Metcalf's talent and relative lack of baggage. The contract was nuts.

I don't know that Tomlin lacks the fire to be a head coach, but he clearly seems less interested in putting in the work to deal with head cases like Pickens.

After coaching AB for almost a decade it's understandable.

Why should he babysit a knucklehead like Pickens? He's a grown man act like a professional instead of crashing out on the sideline or showing up late to practice and games.

Cause may be it's his job to make sure the team wins SBs and that includes managing knuckleheads during the season.

Sure, trade him or bench him, but during the season when YOU chose to play him, then you gotta manage him.

    It's basic people management...

ya, that was good, but that doesn't absolve the coach from babysitting during the season.

They put up with a lot crap from Pickens in his three years Tomlin would talk to Pickens on the sideline to get him right.
