Train him? The guy is 30 years old. This isn't some kid who hasn't gotten his shot yet. He plays well against terrible defenses. That isn't going to be enough.

He's better than Rodgers. He showed he knows how to get points and take time off the clock.

I came in tonight just to see if some idiot thought we had a QB controversy. I wasn’t disappointed.

The Steelers may back into the playoffs, but they are doomed to be one and done again. I would rather see Howard if he is available to play.

The offense seemed more in sync with Rudolph in the lineup.

Yeah, the team is still better with Rodgers. Rudolph will be hard pressed to beat Chicago, Buffalo, Baltimore etc.

Bengals are bad defensively and probably never prepared for Rudolph.

Rudolph replicating this in full games is a different story.

Mason was okay, but if Rodgers is healthy he is going to start. I dont think there is any chance Tomlin benches Rodgers in the final season of his hall of fame career, especially since they waited all offseason to get him.

The Bengals didn't game plan for Mason.

No. It took Rodger 9 games to throw as many touchdowns as Mason has thrown in his CAREER as a Steeler. Red Zone beast for most of.the season. How soon we forget Rodgers CARRIED a struggling defense and run game.

He seems to have a couple of bad games but we need to get him playing like he did earlier. It was better than we have EVER seen Mason play, and THAT Rodger absolutely gives us a chance in the playoffs.

And that right there is why we don't have post season success.

Only reason to see Howard is if we have no chance at the post season. You do it now, and you're saying the season is over to the team.

Go look at the browns game tonight with sanders. Gabriel was winning, sanders blew chunks.

Don't act like Howard won't suck either. I never seen anyone here talk about Howard in the post season. And in fact I seen people in round two say "Sanders still there.... stupid steelers passed him again". And then third round. Then fourth and into the fifth repeating the same. But not one person said, "can't wait for us to select Howard". And there's a reason for that.

Exactly. You don't just throw your rookie out there in the middle of a playoff hunt. This is coming from people who think the season is over anyway so why not see what the rookie has, but the Steelers don't think the season is over, they think they are trying to win the division.

Those fans are wannabe brown fans. They're always subconsciously wanting us to tank for a top ten pick and still trade up.

Give a team a week to prepare for MR and we will quickly realize that he is just a serviceable back up. We’ve seen this movie before. Hope I’m wrong and he lights it up going forward but I do have my doubts.

Some of y'all don't research before you post.

    2023 proves you're wrong.

I picked 'no' in the poll. I feel the same now.

Mason looks to have another opportunity. Rogers has a broken left hand apparently. He's probably be out a couple weeks.

So I guess we will all get a chance to see once again how Mason performs.

I think he played well today. I'm optimistic that he'll be able to move the chains and maybe throw a couple down field.

I've always been the optimistic type. He looked pretty poised in the pocket today imo.

He has weapons around him. Like Mount Washington.

I thought Mason looked good today but Rodgers left the game at halftime with the lead so he officially gets the win.
