Was a joke, but to your points...if Howard is in, winning the game is not my concern. He's been here all year, if he is clueless, that is a problem.

They know what they have in Mason, don't waste reps on him.

    He’s been on IR

Do they actually workout or practice or anything with the team

Has he “been here all year “

He's not watching tape? Talking to Rodgers? Taking mental reps?

Didn't realize you were so pro-moving train.

I’m pro “not throwing a rookie to the wolves”

He just took his first two snaps in 3 months and they were both handoffs for the scout team

No he is not ready to start an actual nfl game

It wouldn't be this week. Rodgers isn't hurt or getting benched at this point.

I don't disagree...but it will possibly be with a higher draft capital QB which will again allow him for almost no shot to see the field.

    Maybe

    Probably

But if the Steelers do not draft a qb high it will not surprise me

I would not count on that. I'm not sure if he fits on arthur Smith system. Arthur needs a QB who can do a deep ball. Howard doesn't show that like how Allen did in college.

I want to see him this year if Rodgers has another couple duds.

Depends on if we are still in the hunt

Which would be unlikely if Rodgers has another couple duds

    Then sure

He will get opportunities next year

If they are out of the hunt it’s a no brainer but I would want him over Rudolph either way.

    This is what we needed!
    1. We got heart because of mason
    2. We killed time on the clock, which helped the defense.

FYI. ... this is why you don't start Howard until you know the season is a fail.... I don't get why any of y'all wanted to let Howard play over mason. Because mason has stepped up in the last few years to winning games.

We have to let Mason continue. We even opened up other plays. And DK was targeted more as well.

I think before we look at a QB, train the one that is in there now (Mason) the problem is who is going to work with him. Great job for Rodgers because what we have on that coaching staff isn’t working.

Agreed. And we also need to train up Howard.

Next year we would be better off trading back
    CB second (trade back)
    WR third
    Safety third
    RB third (trade back)
    ILB third (Comp)
    DT fourth
    Offensive Line fourth
    Kick/punt returner fifth
QB sixth (unless we can find one on off season) sixth
    Rotational DT sixth (comp).
    Sleeper pick seventh.

Because we chased QB and have been losing. Next year isn't QB loaded. It's actually CB and WR loaded.

I still think we should have simply run with Mase and Howard as QB1 snd 2 respectively this season, and just skipped the whole AR experiment altogether. I sincerely doubt the Steelers record would be any different right now had that been the arragement, and the team would have saved millions by not paying a guy who is way too old to be heavily relied upon for an entire season.

True, and a fair point - but, everything is relative, of course. And of course, not paying AR anything is money saved, regardless. It may have been a bit of a bargain, but it wasn't exactly like the Wilson situation, where the Broncos essentially paid him to play on our team. Regardless, it will would have been cheaper to go with MR, WH and Skylar for a season. It is what it is.
