It's been a slow, almost imperceptible march toward parity in the NFL. Question is whether this is talent equalization, coaching equalization, copy cat league with no new ideas, ... or gambling, where uncertainty/parity leads to bigger profits.

And unlike you I understand football, I don’t make look at me posts because I need attention and I don’t post bull**** that is misleading, inaccurate or blatant lies

There I hope that helps but I have my doubts

So you are an old curmudgeon who's complaining about others on a web site you don't run? Do I have that right?

I think you know about as much as the average Steeler fan. And I being nice to you when I say that.

I just joined and I may choose to donate in time. I think it is a good web site.

In the meantime I suggest you skip my posts... if you can. I tend to doubt you can. Prove me wrong. In the meantime, pet your therapy dog. You may need him or her during this season.

And do not call me or other liars unless you have proof.

I am not going to brag about living in a million dollar neighborhood and find your cheapskate comment rather funny, but I do live in one of them.

    Your truly.

    " Cheapstake" Joel.

As long as there is a chance to make the playoffs you play the players who give you the best chance to win

    After Rodgers that is Mason

If you are eliminated then yes work towards next year

Exactly, which is why we have to go with Howard. Yes, Mason can win us games... but what good does it do us to win an extra game or two if we find ourselves 5-6 or something like that? Mason might be able to get us to 7 or 8 wins if he plays really well, but he's not going to vastly improve upon what we have. I don't care if Rodgers played back in LA. It happens. I think overreacting and basically putting the best sustained QB play we've had here since Ben on notice for his job is... well, shortsighted to say the least. This team isn't where it is because Rodgers hasn't been good enough to win games for 90% of the season. Its been because our OL has been hit or miss and our defense is one of the worst units in the entire league.

Mason isn't a starting caliber QB in the league. He simply isn't. Fans that think this need to move on. I think he does a nice job as a back up, he's liked in the locker room, and he knows that there is zero chance he is going to be a starter again, so he is here as long as we need him to be.... He's valuable to have and will come cheap (he's likely never going to get a contract above 5 mil a year). But IF we end up sitting Rodgers (for any reason) the answer HAS to be Howard. We HAVE to see something of what he has before we start looking at QB's in next year's draft. It would be a kick in the nuts to trade up for a QB only for Howard to show a ton of promise and put us in a weird situation.... Maybe he sucks. That's fine, at least we know, and we can try to develop him into a viable backup like we did Mason while he's on his rookie deal. Maybe he shows promise and we can target something else in the draft next year (thinking a S like Downs in a massive trade if he falls close to 10, or a CB, maybe even a WR). We just don't know if he doesn't see the field. It would be a colossal waste to play Mason imo. The only way we should EVER see him on the field is if we end up winning a couple games, still have the division lead, and Rodgers gets hurt. Then you can play Mason.

Two paragraphs and you back peddled in the last two sentences to what you were responding to and others have posted

Seems like a lot of work to finally agree

Because we know Rudolph is a BU quarterback. Do you really think he will go up against the likes of Mahomes, Allen and the other top QB’s and lead the team to the SB.

We know what we have in him, we dont know about Howard yet.
