We can't go by that. That was the same things some people said about Joe Burrow.

 

Um, Burrow won the Heisman and was the 1st overall pick in the draft. Howard wasnt even a Heisman finalist and was drafted in the 6th round. Apples to oranges. Only comparison is they both transfered and both won a natty. Howard for only 1 year at OSU. Burrow started for 2 years at LSU before they won the natty. Burrow was 25-2 as a starter in college. Howard 29-14. Again, no comparison.

 

But this was still said about Burrow. That he couldn't beat out this player, or that player, or have you forgotten that??

 

Sure. You stick with comparing Howard to Burrow. Let me know how that works out for ya.

 

I'm not comparing them, but what I'm also not doing is acting like that was never said. I heard it multiple times by Ohio State fans, and it was even said repeatedly on this board.

 

Look, Burrow was redshirted and then playing behind an embedded starter in JT Barrett. And I bet Urban Meyer regrets not starting Burrow. Then he was behind Haskins who was a 1st rounder. Howard only saw the field when Thompson or Martinez was injured, which was frequent and when those guys were healthy, Howard rode the pine. One was a 7th rounder and the other undrafted. He never did anything to create a QB controversy at KSU. Burrow on the other hand never got an opportunity at OSU. Why he never got a shot is a great question that only Meyer can answer. And I don't put a lot of stock in that sleazeball's decision making abilities. Again, your comparison is not even close. Give it a rest.

And, yes, you are comparing them. You are the one to bring up Burrow in comparison to Howard. If you can't see that then I'm not sure what else to tell you.

1st. You don't tell me to do anything.
2nd. It still doesn't change what people said.
3rd. Would you like to bet money I can bring up post from this board of people saying it, and that's not included what was said in other media services.
So whether you want to hear it or not, it was said, You can always bury you head in the sand, and pretend it wasn't, if that helps you escape it.
I never once said Howard was Burrow (that's your own imagination) , what I said is people said the same things(that's reality).
