That means nothing the Steelers don't do extensions during the season, if that WR isn't happy with his role in the offense he will probably leave in free agency.

Would it be the same numbers? No. Would it be very good numbers that help make this a much better offense? Without question.

Hall would have made no sense. He's a good player, but that isn't what they need.

    Next draft strategy :
Keep most of the picks and use it to move around for players you like then wait another season till we fire the dumblin

It's obvious we've been needing a #2 for several years. So when is the right time for him?

In our offense, the #2 receiver is Jonnu Washingmuth.

Perhaps they are saving all the Draft picks since the Draft is in Pittsburgh and they wanna make big moves on draft day????

I just heard a great argument for why the Steelers were wrong to not make a move today. They have the third-oldest roster in the NFL. That's not a team that should be waiting for next year.

Goes both ways though. The buyer's philosophy at the deadline is all about trading youth for veteran talent. With 12 picks projected in April, if they didn't deem anyone capable of giving them a significant push this year, it wouldn't make a lot of sense to pull the trigger if getting younger was an offseason priority. And I get the feeling that it is.

Agreed. Adding a 27 yr old WR might bump them one spot younger. So what?

Sure but there isn’t enough room for me to type here all the ones they missed on. Teams value draft picks way too much IMO it’s a real crap shoot. And I understand you can’t just give away all your picks carelessly because you need to build for the future but if you can get a proven guy for a freaking 4th or 5th rounder when your hit rate there is maybe 10%???

No WR would be happy in MTs archaic offensive schemes. You are right on that point.

Yeah Jonnu with his 2 yard dump off passes really gets the needle moving.

Yep, they would rather be on a losing team like Dallas while piling up those yards.

NYJ with 5 first round picks in the next two drafts. Talk about selling high...

It does make me wonder what a player feels like when their team is a seller during trade season.

I don’t think they want to be on a bad team per say but they do want to be in a modern day offense.

Hardy ran a 4.38 forty at the combine. Steelers lack speed in the secondary. Whether he can cover or not is the question. Bishop must have been lost on the practice field and why he is gone.
