I don't know the coach of many teams. Especially the ones out west that never make my tv viewing range.
Mike Trout may be the best to ever play baseball. I'm a huge baseball fan. Never seen him play. No idea who manages his team.

Steelers & Chargers with near identical offenses:

 

Well balanced, equally slightly above average passing and rushing offenses

The Chargers are pretty gettable IMO. They've lost to a bad NYG team and a bad Commanders team, and played close games against a bad Dolphins team and a bad Titans team. Though, they beat a good Broncos team. They seem to be in a very similar situation to us. We really need to win this weekend.

The Donkeys win was big but division games are often a toss up. Fairly soft schedule.

 

Exactly. This is the key to the game. They are 2-3 without Alt, 4-0 with him.

Herbert has taken an unusual amount of hits this year (62 so far) due to the O-Line issues. The Steelers need to get sacks and make sure Herbert gets hit when he runs, which is alot due to their running back situation.

Aaron will keep the Steelers offense in the game, the Chargers aren't great against the run, but the key is pressure. If we get pressure, we protect our secondary, and win this game.

 

I'd rather have a Guinness!

 

I'm scared of our D line and ILBs folding like a cheap tent vs King Henry. Happened last 2 times we played them.

 

Only worry is that Watt and Highsmith seem to disappear when facing backups or rookies. (See BAL playoff game)

 

I hope that is not the case, but yeah, that is a concern. The Steelers need to establish the run, hit those intermediate passes with big Tight Ends, chew clock and keep Herbert on the sideline and the pass rushers fresh.

The Chargers aren't very great at running the ball or stopping the run.

 

Highsmith should have a good game

 

We have been through this before when opponents start backups on their OL, but then the Steelers don't dominate .

I'm hoping our defense saw what can happen with maximum effort and continues to strive for that.


I'm also hoping Warren and Gainwell both get 100 yards rushing and 2TDs. That's each.

We will play him differently I believe. We played too much nickel those two games. Henry is the guy on that team I also fear.

 

If you watch this happen ,you should see that the O will predominantly send two, or 3 at Watt in those games, and Highsmith all of a sudden can't beat one on one most of the game.

 

Chargers have a potent offense, its going to be tough. Austin and Tomlin have to have these guys ready. I’d like to see us try to jam their receivers at the line, and keep the pressure on Herbet, rush more than 4 often, unless TJ is on his game (ive seen him have trouble with a single blocker too often this year)

SD’s run defense is the weak link, got to take advantage.

Expecting a loss, hoping for a win.
