I'm not going to have false hope on that....If it happens and it has a positive impact for the Steelers, I'll be surprised and happy

I think the Steelers will try to upgrade their roster, I am thinking
    OL and WR help.

Waddle, thats a name I havent heard mentioned, DK and Waddle would be pretty sweet if they could pull that off.

Downside is he gets hurt frequently, same problem with going after Olave, one more pop in the head could be it for him.

Myers still might be their best target.

With the QB class being underwhelming so far Khan needs to rethink his stance of not wanting to trade any of his 12 picks, if there is a WR2 available they need to make a move.

I truly wanted to make a run for Kyle Pitts but given the season he is having?! I seriously doubt that is going to be the case. As for Wide Receivers?! Jakobi Myrers is still my personal preferred target though I wouldn't mind at least inquiring about Garrett Wilson. That said, getting around that contract won't be easy. Jaylen Waddle is my second though @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace already pointed out the fact that his injury history gives pause to such an idea.

Chris Olave still is my wild card of the bunch. Same issues as Waddle as far as health goes but it is a one year rental. Some have reported that AJ Brown could potentially be a target but his Contract is also something to consider. A draft pick or two wouldn't be enough. Would the team be willing to move on from Pat Freiermuth?!

With Omar Khan?! Stranger things have happened.

Perhaps with the QBs but I personally wouldn't sacrifice too much. As we can both agree, this upcoming crop of QBs.... isn't it. Of the ones that are, Fernando Mendoza V, Ty Simpson and LaNorris Sellers are all likely to be picked within the Top 10. After that?!

Literally a dart throw. QB though isn't my primary problem heading into 2026. Safety, Corner and IOL is. This musical chairs act of them isn't sustainable on the backend and the 2026 crop of FA Safeties don't inspire much confidence either. Other than Caleb Downs (another name that will not be within reach), again a dart throw.

Between me and you?! As it stands currently?! Whomever is the best rated between Corner and IOL should be the 1st Pick. Unless both Jayden Maiava and Dante Moore both declare, Pittsburgh isn't having a shot at any of the aforementioned barring some extreme events for each.

Who will be the sellers coming up on the trade deadline?

Titans are building around Ward so I doubt they will be selling off weapons. Same for the Bears. Carolina just did that recently with trading McCaffrey, maybe ready to do it again?

The Jets are looking at the number one overall pick, so trading for more picks may be a good idea for them. They currently have 4 guaranteed picks. I have no idea what their comp situation is.

The Saints are in such cap hell they may be big sellers this year too.

I wonder what it would take to get Marvin Harrison Jr from the Cardinals.

Jets are looking at a 5 and 3 7's for comp picks, according to OTC.

Harrison is in just his second year they aren't going to trade him, maybe the Saints will part with Rashid Shaheed a WR and PR.

I was thinking since the Steelers have three third round picks maybe use one of those in a trade for a WR, Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers wanted a trade before the season.

I’ve wanted us to try to get Meyers the past two off-seasons.

You never know about college QBs. Dart for the Giants may end up being better than Ward because of the coaching and supporting cast around him. One of the college guys may be better than he looks because his team may be lacking o-line or skill position help. The Steelers need to make sure their guy has a strong arm, accurate, and has some football sense.

Supposedly they'd let Olave leave before they let Shahid leave.... but that is hearsay, so take it for what it's worth

Olave on a 3 year 70-75ish million dollar contract extension wouldn't be the worst thing in the world idt. Aaron Rodgers can get around not having the receiving talent around him but a rookie (or other vet) will not. We absolutely HAVE to get another WR if we are on the path we are with the roster. I'd love to make it happen, but who knows. Lots in the works obviously. The Titans just fired their coach, so maybe Ridley is available? But he just hurt his hammy and has been ruled out so idk.

Olave - My favorite target here, but don't know if we want to commit to signing him. Also, would take a good amount of capital to get him.
Waddle - Big contract, but we should be able to stomach it. Probably going to cost us a relatively high pick.
Meyers - Realistic target here. Shouldn't command much more than half of what DK makes and would be a reliable #2. Also wouldn't cost us much more than a couple day 3 picks.
Ridley - Not much given up, but at his age there might not be much left either. Still a decent target if we want a one year rental.
Wilson - Not realistic imo. Love the player, but makes more than DK and would take a huge pick to get him. There's little chance of this one happening.

Jakobi Meyers is the best option.

No way to Olave with that contract he might be one hit away from retirement, they don't need a big star as WR2 in an offense that is TE heavy.

Idk about the BEST option, but he is definitely the most realistic one. Good player and would be relatively inexpensive to get I think.

I think that's their best option, too, but I wonder how much they will really spend.

The way the Bills are getting lit up tonight, is it time to consider raising the bar on their expectations?
