I don't think that was me. I do live around the Saints fans, and grew up in a Saints household. So maybe? I know I said something about the fans I know were split between Shough and Rattler. Logically, if you start Rattler and go to Shough, you can make the switch back if Shough struggles. BUT, it's harder to start Shough, bench him, and then go back if Rattler struggles. That's just a bad look.

Fans got to remember, this is only the second yr with Rattler. Patience is a virtue. He is a good qb.
    Saints have problems on defense

We saw yesterday that perhaps a lot of Henry's success has been due to defenses having to pay so much attention to Jackson's feet. Without that threat, Henry could not do much.

You do realize the Saints will be drafting a QB in the first-round next year.

Good, then maybe we can trade for Rattler instead of drafting a QB

Ravens just traded their 2021 first round draftee for a safety (both on expiring contracts). Harbaugh brothers trade

I honestly don't believe there is a QB currently in 2026 that can raise the Saints to even a respectable level given their severe lack of talent everywhere. As I see it, Spencer Rattler isn't incapable. He is just outgunned.. badly. Dude needs serious help.

For starters?! Nab the Saints some juice on the Defense. Reuben Bain, Peter Woods or even Caleb Downs from Ohio State would be worthy additions. If none are available?! I'd trade down a bit to acquire more talent. New Orleans is one of the most talent deficient Rosters in all the NFL. They need help bad; doubly so on Defense.

All this trade tells me is that Malakai Starks is either quickly falling out of favor with the team or will be moved elsewhere along the backend. Gilman has been serviceable with the Chargers but Elijah Holden and Derwin James appear to be the future there. As for Los Angeles?! They get a much needed boost defensively.

As far as I see it, Los Angeles won this trade. Odafe did have a 10 Sack Season a year ago and while the Ravens do need help at Safety, losing even more pass rush?! Not the ideal way I would have gone about doing so.

Actually @doubleyoi@doubleyoi, just read that the Ravens did free up $8 Million in cap by trading him. Not sure what their next move is but I'd bet it would be for an IDL given their current lack of overall depth. Who would it be though?!

Not too many names come to mind. Dexter Lawrence?!

That does make the trade more sensible if they can use the cap space to fill some additional holes.
