    Hate it:

    20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
The start of the 2025 season has been more up and down than Nussmeier would’ve liked, as his downfield accuracy has wavered inside an inconsistent LSU offense. Nussmeier is dealing with a shaky offensive line, as well, but this is a fifth-year player who needs to rise above those concerns. He has the potential to be a top-10 player in this class — but not without showing better consistency.

Only two QBs in the top 10 picks:

I'd rather spend that 1st on either John Mateer or Sam Leavitt. Garrett isn't looking like himself.. at all. Should QB not be on the table?! Cornerback, Wide Receiver and Safety would all be my options.

That said, Caleb Downs isn't dropping out of the Top 10. Makai Lemon from USC would be a great option but Jordan Tyson from Arizona State University would be even better. Again though, I don't forsee him falling out of the Top 15 for he is too gifted.

@S.T.D@S.T.D may get his Cornerback wish. A.J. Harris from Penn State, Darlene Everette from Georgia or even a wildcard in Keith Abney the II wouldn't shock me.

    I am not.

Barring a trade for someone like Sauce Gardner, Pittsburgh isn't heading into the likes of 2026 with only Ramsey (presumably at Corner), Peezy Jr and Slay as the options. For that matter, I don't believe Slay nor Cory Trice Jr will be on the team in 2026 anyhow. Peezy Jr seems to be the long term solution and there isn't a whole lot of 2026 FA Corners that jump out as far as who is worthy enough to go after.

As for the draft?! Very, very top heavy Corner draft. Some good depth overall but this class nosedive after the Top 100 picks. Best way to nab a good Corner is within Rounds 1 to 3.

I’m not sure any of these QBs are that much better than Will Howard to spend a first round pick on.

Fernando Mendoza V, Dante Moore, John Mateer and even Sam Leavitt all would like to have a word. You will get no argument from me about Drew Allar, Garrett Nussmeier, Cade Klubnik or Arch Manning though. Nico Iamalavela had one helluva bounce back game against Penn State. Pittsburgh scouts were there as well.

$10 says Nico will be a Pre Draft Visit by the Steelers once the draft cycle rolls around; assuming Nico leaves UCLA to begin with.

Isn't taking a QB at #20 about the same thing as getting a 2nd round pick QB?

If they take a QB it likely won't be in the 20s, they have 12 picks and will move up.

Carson Beck is having a heck of a season with unbeaten Miami. 4 more TD's and no picks against the Seminoles last night.

12 picks is very misleading in this regard

The have the normal 1&2 plus two extra 3’s

That is what they have to trade the other 7 picks barely add up to a roast beef sandwich in value on draft day

None the less they may trade up if there is a trade partner and a player they want

    Is the OL set?
    Is the DL set?
I would finish building these first.

I don't hate adding to the secondary or LB corp if the right player is there.
    Talking first round only.

I agree. I was just wondering how he came up with a QB at #20 for the Steelers. Seems like a terrible spot to use your first round pick. Either move up and get a top guy, or grab one later......IMO

But, it is an interesting thought. IF Rodgers only does 1 year as he has mostly said he is, then we go to next year with a rookie that missed training camp and may not see any play during the season and some backups. So who do you roll into the season with? Even if you got the best QB in the draft, do you want to go into the season with a pure rookie and another who has not taken a snap in his NFL career outside of practice? Leave Rudolph as the experience and go with Howard and rookie#2? Replace Rudolph with some other experienced QB? A problem for the future, but if Howard does not get some play time this year, it is going to be a significant issue.

KP8 scenario. 23 years old and playing against 18 - 19 years olds tends to skew the stats.

    Jarvis Jones 2.0.
