What's Cookin? first place bye week edition

    i make one for steaks that is simple like this too. i usually use lemon juice but could use lime. the citrus breaks down the meat fibers to make steak very tender. crushed garlic, oil, lemon juice, just a little worchestershire, worchtershire, worchester, you know that stuff:smiley1:. not too much of it either. the longer it marinates the better it is. usually overnight. turn the meat over every now and then too. works for chicken too using citrus. keeps them juicy if grilling chicken boobs. :cool:

    I use almost the same thing in marinating chicken, and pork, but I never have marinated beef, I can't say why, I just never have. :shrug:

    My Lemongrass pork marinade: 2+ lemongrass stalks, discard outer layer and finely chop; 2” of chopped ginger; 1/4 -1/2 cup fish sauce; 3 chopped scallions (or try shallots); 2 tbsp veg oil; 2+ tsp of white pepper; pinch of kosher salt. Marinate overnight.

    I use that for 2lbs of pork tenderloin and grill it. Good stuff.

    I only eat beef that would be a fkn sin to marinate.

    I have a friend who constantly marinates ribeyes and serves them all the time

    I can’t complain about free ribeyes but wtf

    Absolutely. I'm just playing around being snooty. Marinades won't ruin ribeye. I try not to.
    Liver is the only part of beef I can't enjoy. Everything else yes please
