Good depth at TE, Friermuth, Washington will be fine, maybe Jonnu Smith plays

Same with running backs, let Warren rest this week, and play more Trey Sermon and Kaleb Johnson

I don't think there will be that much of a drop off if Warren and Smith don't play

 

nice call on the backfield Gainwell and the line really stepped up. Also, good to see Kaleb Johnson contribute. Hopefully CAIII is back soon.

 

I was sure CAIII had a broken bone in shoulder when I heard he went to the hospital, but he says he is OK, I hope so, great news,

I always knew Gainwell was a good player, not flashy but talented, great to see him carry the load today and have a 100 yrd game, the pile-on criticism that I have seen on this board was a little unjustified

It’s early and we have a bye week so the news will be limited but the early take is both Ramsey and CA3 will be out 3/4 weeks. Sucks we are never going to see this defense together it feels like.

 

I responded to his performance on the game day thread. Gainwell was great, arguably the best game of his career. The Steelers took a low-probability gamble and, at least for one week, it worked. Congratulations on your hind sight.

I don't trust Dulac reporting...have to wait and see on those timelines. If true, that is a bye week, Browns (will be in London week before Steelers game) and Bengals...hopefully the Steelers can hold serve those 3 weeks...feel pretty good about the bye week at least.

 

well......it is rare that a D does not have some players missing here and there during the season. Nice that we have some plug and play with guys, some depth - young and old.

 

This will hurt. Hopefully bye week will help.

 

The good news,this is not season ending.....The steelers can win without those 2 against the Browns and Bengals....I hope the steelers will be for the most part healthy in a month vs Green Bay!

Agreed, but it would be nice to see them all play at least a few games together.
