I think it was by design. They didn't want any possibly of a return, or anything negative. JMO

I was wondering this myself. I know one who picked against us that doesn't bet, but the rest, maybe

Was going to say the same exact thing. Thought we played a great game up until the end when terrible coaching plays a big part.

Let me fix that for you.

you are going to complain no matter what. We could go 17-0 and you would still find something to complain about.

I had no problem with them punting because I'm not convinced we would have made the 4th and inches. But I was hoping at worst Waitman would have punted inside the 15 instead of blasting it through the endzone for only a 19 yard net.

And if they had made a spectacular punt return y’all would be running around with your torches and pitchforks.

I think it so they have no chance at a huge return. This way You automatically take the return risk out of the equation. JMO

A big punt return at this field position is very unlikely

The league greatly favors offense. When you give them the ball back with a minute they could be in FG range in two plays. Chicken **** call not to go especially when the OL had its best game of the year.

I think you are right. I don’t agree with it but I think he was told to not allow a return.

Except they didn't. When did Vikings lead or tie after 3 score lead?

Yes you kick it high and they have to either make the fair catch or let it bounce. A return isn't even a possibility if it's punted correctly.

I own my home and have owned it for 16 years. I own a business, have been married for 17 years and have lots of money. All that in California too.

In conclusion, I’ve never lived in a house with a basement and my mother passed in 2003.

In double conclusion, Mike Tomlin is a ****ing travesty as a coach.

    The end.

I'd rather be a Steelers' fan this week than a Packers fan last week.

Because kickers have 100% control over how the ball bounces etc. you tell your kicker to pin it at the 5 they do it. Thats just the way it works

I thought they might actually make the 3rd option of having Boswell kick a 57 yard FG.

It's a great play, but , and this is just my opinion, but you risk in that exact situation a punt not hit correctly, and it goes out too early. Then they have less field to go.
During another part of the game I love the coffin kick

That crossed my mind also, but I think the whole having one blocked earlier had something to do with that
