Actually they're tied with the Bengals at 2-1, while the Ravens and Browns are bringing up the rear at 1-2.

The Ravens play the Chiefs next week, the loser of that game will be 1-3.

Yeah a brutal schedule. Kinda right on par with the 4th quarter woes and turnovers. They definitely should have beaten the Bills... Henry with another 4th quarter fumble to kill them tonight. Tough start for them. I'm sure they will be fine.

We're statistically one of the worst teams in the league, so it is quite nice to be sitting at 2-1 and in first place. Hopefully we continue winning after we (hopefully) start playing better.

The Ravens next 3 games are the Chiefs, Texans and Rams so they could lose 2 of those games. However after that they have clear sailing for the rest of the year with the tough part of their schedule over early.

The loser of the Ravens/Chiefs game will have a tough time getting the #1 seed.

Even the #2 seed since the loser will be 2 games behind the Bills and Chargers. Right now I see the seeding like this.
    1. Bills
    2. Chargers
    3. Ravens
    4. Colts
    5. Chiefs
The Steelers, Jags, Broncos, Patriots and Texans will be battling for the last 2 seeds.

The loser will have no chance for the first seed if we look at the Bills schedule....Not sure the chiefs will win the division too.If they lose vs ravens and the chargers beat the giants, they will be 3 games behind and the chargers beat the chiefs in week 1.The chargers look a top 2 team in the AFC right now

3 games into season and talking about the seeding. Looking at schedules and deciding who's in after 3 games. I get it though since a 17 game season makes each game important. Not like MLB where the WS winner will have 60+ loses.

Dunno. BUF lost to the Patriots last season and NE was horrible.

And many of these QBs are taking a beating. Herbert, Stafford, Mahomes hit 60+ times. LJ sacked what 7 times last night?

Even Rodgers with 50+ hits. One analyst that watched the all-22 against NE said by half time it seemed to him that Rodgers' basically said; 'F it, I'm tired of getting hit. I'll just get rid of the ball'. (hence the terrible INT)

Ravens offense is better than ours right now

Browns defense is better than ours - right now

we need to get our DB’s back and get TJ and the other OLB’s going. And the o line needs to gel and we need someone from the receivers to step up. Alot of work to do to be in the playoff spot in the end

    Consider who we’ve played.

You people act like we haven't at least split with the Ravens all the time. Their Defense make ours look good. They are last ,or almost last I'm many, many major categories, and that's with them playing the Browns with a Qb that has more ints than he has tds.

If the Chiefs lose (and Chargers win), they are effectively 4 games behind the Chargers. If the Ravens lose (and Buffalo wins) they are effectively 4 games behind the Bills. Chiefs can make it up by defeating the Chargers for 2, but the Ravens are SOL.

Considering that the Ravens spends roughly $131 Million per NFLTradeRumors, it really makes one wonder why Baltimore doesn't get nearly as critiqued as they should. Granted, they don't spend nearly as much as Pittsburgh does but that shouldn't omit them from the discussion of the current National Sports Media Narrative of having an Overpaid Defense.

Then again, given who Baltimore has played, perhaps that would be the rebuttal; Buffalo and Detroit both being Super Bowl contending teams.

Steelers at this time couldn’t compete with either Detroit or Buffalo.
Struggled mightily with Fields led Jets.
    Lost to Darnold
Struggled mightily with Maye and Pats
No way at this time do we compete against:
    Lamar
    Allen
    Goff
All 3 blowouts at this time. You can agree or disagree
    Ravens great running game
    Detroit great running game
Only chance is Buffalo, if we could stop Allen and that is a slim chance

    Look who Ravens played
And than look who Steelers played
    Not sticking up for Ratbirds
But quality of opponents is not even close to what we played vs who Ravens played
    Cleveland has a good defense
Hopefully we split with them, not quite sure of that.
I realize they gave up 41 against Ravens, but Ravens are going to score on any team. Lions gave up 30 to them

Well, I did use that rebuttal in Baltimore's Defense. Had they played such teams like Pittsburgh, I'd imagine that Baltimore would have ran up the scoreboard on both sides. However, given how Baltimore is likely fated to meet Buffalo again, that isn't a good sign. Even worse is the fact that should Baltimore lose to Kansas City, that is going to open up the AFC in a big way.

Race for the number one overall seed will be wide open then. I still believe that, at this current time, it is the Los Angeles Chargers' Conference to lose. Buffalo isn't too far behind and I wouldn't sleep on Indy either though their real test against the likes of the Rams will be interesting. Regardless, both Kansas City and Baltimore both have the potential to derail a playoff rivals season early. Question is who?!

I want to say Kansas City can do it but Baltimore has shown me too many cracks in their already vulnerable armor. Kansas City hasn't been much better but that Defense can hang with the best of them. War of attrition on Sunday Night Football indeed.
