A win is a win. If you can't enjoy the wins, maybe it's not worth watching.
I think part of the problem is the lack of a light at the end of the tunnel. It's been so long since we've been competitive, and for the most part, we haven't had much playoff success under Tomlin. We're not a rebuilding team, we're not here to win a handful of games and let high draft picks. This team is built to compete and has been for a very long time, yet the results haven't been there. We've also lost to some really mediocre teams and QB's over the years. It's frustrating. The frustration comes from many years of failure. Many fans, right or wrong, lump seasons together, right or wrong.

We're not rebuilding, yet we don't appear to ever be a real contender either. Many of us can see the problems, but they don't seem to be addressed. It's frustrating, and it really has very little to do with that one game vs the Pats.

But as I said, a win is a win and I can enjoy the win while also being skeptical and frustrated with this team, and the most overrated coach in NFL history.

I was happy we won yesterday but deep down I know that barely winning despite forcing 5 turnovers just isn't sustainable. There probably won't be another game this season that we force that many turnovers. And it worries me that there just isn't too many teams that we can just line up and beat without getting a lot of turnovers.

When their wins stop making me happy is the day I stop watching football. Whats the point then.

Of course they will have to improve in many areas, but that were winning while still trying to improve is great.

And what some people don't want to admit is........
No matter how bad we have been playing, if Austin doesn't tip that pass away in the endzone against the Seahawks, and KJ doesn't have a brain fart on the kick off, we could be, or maybe 3-0.

I'm probably gonna quit watching and caring if major changes don't happen in 2026. Tired of the same old crap, year in and year out.

They won't even notice. This whole board could stop watching, and they wouldn't even notice. So You either watch, and enjoy, or You don't.

I agree. It doesn't matter. But I'll have better things to do with my Sunday afternoons than watching a bad product every week. I'll return when changes are made at the top. Until then... this year is it for me.

    same here.

‘as I said, once one realizes that the most to hope for is just the next win, then watching becomes fun again. Just flush away any thoughts of winning SBs or playoff games, and just think of every single game as its own SB. Suddenly not having losing seasons feels like 9+ SB wins every season!

even Terry says they’ll never contend: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...l-contenders-thats-not-a-great-football-team/

“"They're always competitive, but they're past being a contender. They're not a contender. They're just not from what I've seen. They haven't been a contender in five years."”

    Some positives

I’ll be going to my first Steelers game this Sunday in Dublin

Defence will almost certainly improve when they get Harmon, Highsmith, Porter and Elliot back to 100%. They are really short handed now. There are huge concerns for sure but I do think the change of personnel over the offseason followed by a spate of injuries is part of the issue

The offence is struggling to do much of anything but one thing you have to give them credit for is Redzone efficiency. They’re struggling between the twenties for several reasons but they score nearly every time they get into the Redzone

This is a young Oline that can get better with more snaps and time together. Fautanu is effectively a rookie and Frazier and McCormick are in year 2, BroJo year 3 and is after switching sides again. We all wish they were better but early season struggles were inevitable.

I think they’re going to have to trade for another WR. DK is good but behind him they really don’t have much at all. Austin is a decent #3/4 that will occasionally make a big play and Wilson seems to be a non factor. They are really missing a slot / separator type WR. It’s baffling that they didn’t sort this in the offseason. I don’t know who might be available now

They have a lot to work on and I do think the ceiling is probably quite low for 2025 but we live in hope

Seem weird that Cinci can make the same claim lol. They are likely going to the basement after losing Burrows. For today and until Sunday they are tied for 1st

There are positive things for sure. But we are living off fumble recoveries and 55+ yard field goals. We have not beaten QB ( In 2024 ) QB.

We are 2-1 thanks to the fumbles that bounced our way and an amazing kicker, not the coaching staff which apparently is trying to plug square pegs into round holes.

The Bills will have the #1 seed locked up early this year now that the Chiefs and Ravens have lost a couple of games.
