I would still rather be Vrabel than Tomlin right now. The Patriots have a young roster led by a second year QB who looks like he is going to be really good. They're future is on the upswing, Tomlin has a 42 year old QB on a one year rental and after that the QB situation is up in the air again. The 2026 QB class that looked great a month ago isn't looking so good now that the season is under way.

 

I dunno, I'd rather be Tomlin, what other NFL team would pay you for 18 seasons no questions asked while only winning a playoff game in 4 of them? or 10 years without a playoff win at all? or 6 straight wild card losses?

 

That's a 173 games decided by one play or less, extrapolated by Tomlin's 17+ seasons as head coach, you got around 10 nail biting games a season. This with arguably the top 2-3 talented teams on average in the league over most of his tenure and playing 4 games a season against some brutal Browns and Bengals teams

 

The Bengals have made the playoffs plenty of times and been to the Super Bowl more recently than the Steelers or Ravens.

 

The bengals under 'Marvin Lewis was a complete joke....Always at their worse in primetime or playoffs game....In the 1:00 PM game,they were at their best if their opponents was not the steelers

 

They aren't a joke now and they might have beaten the Steelers in 2005 if Carson Plamer doesn't get injured.
