I didnt think Sawyer played that good, he made a play or two but he didnt look fast and really not that strong. The reason he doesnt play ILB is because he doesnt have the change of direction or agility needed for the position. The problem with stopping the run is not a linebacker issue its our D-line, they cant keep the linebackers clean. Everyone wants to knock Queen but he was flying sideline to sideline and did a good job pressuring the QB up the middle.

If they could accurately measure football smarts, instinct, and IQ, Sawyer would measure at the top of the list of athletes. If they could measure stamina , he would rate the same. He makes impact plays. Forced fumbles, sacks, tackles for losses and interceptions. A football player. He might not be a 4.6 40 yard dash guy, but he is mentally faster than most players. There are two types of speed. Metal processing speed and timed movement. Just a rookie, he will rapidly improve.

i sort of agree. sawyer will get better. he is a good football player. i do agree about the D-Line's failures so far about keeping these LB'ers clean. in those videos wilson has 600+ lbs of offensive linemen on him. you have to watch from the beginning of the play where the d-linemen doesn't get enough of the guard and allows his release right out to wilson and sometimes queen. queen and wilson are getting a bad rap over this i think. they played pretty well i thought. there isn't a LB in the league that can fight off two huge linemen having him locked up in a double team that was allowed to get to him.

I too look for the Steelers to move on from Highsmith if a trading partner
can be found. Just can't stay healthy. May not take place this season but in offseason/draft.

You may have missed it, but Highsmith has a high ankle spray and may miss multiple weeks. That is why Jack is being discussed as a starter.

Hmm.... I have been in some important people's offices, and not one of them has a desk facing inwards. Also with my " detective skills " I notice a picture that is not his child and features a much slimmer and younger Tomlin with a full head of hair.

Do not blow up this photo as it might reveal other things, such as a phone #

No -- I am not a CIA guy. I am an IT specialist focusing on Cyber security that worked for a fortune 500 company . The Steelers are behind other NFL teams in this department

I give 20-1 against that photo because it is not his office.

Show me proof in the draft war room or of any photo using a smart device or pc. That will prove something.

Exactly what does a laptop in a war room prove? That he is the one running draft? (because he isn't, it isn't his job).

Hence why I did say Highsmith isn't giving the team much of a choice. Dude cannot stay healthy.

Might as well keep Highsmith cause they won’t get much of a return.

Doesn't matter who we plug in at ILB... they are gonna suck no matter what, when the D line keeps losing in the trenches.

Settle down he has made one big play in the NFL, go read his scouting report that's why he lasted until the fourth round.

Not entirely it goes two ways

Cole Holcomb could have been a hero today yet on multiple occasions I saw him blow it

For example the big runs they had right of their center Cam had the middle plugged up and T J took multiple defenders and tied them up this left a big hole for the RB but Holcomb who should have run up and filled the gap for no gain inexplicably runs away and into the middle of TJ’s Pile and literally turned to watch the running back

Communication seems to be a problem still. Guys covering wrongs guys while allowing others to be wide open. Not sure who’s responsible for that but it needs to be tightened up

All of the head coaches and GM have them, expect Mike T. It proves they follow the draft as it moves. Who is on the board in real time. Teams that pick 3 spots after us ,and before us.

Without it, you in the dark ages.

So now apparently does Tomlin call all D plays, O plays without a call sheet, He can draft, and know who's not taken, and who has already been taken . LoL. Again no wonder they don't fire him.....He is a freaking Genius, Ventriloquist, and has ESP ability. LoL.

Tomlin doesn’t believe in phones which honestly is refreshing. Things are the ruination of the new generations.
