did you read 1. and 10. ? our players are not that good. two of them at least should not be on the field at their current positions. jones and seumalo. fautanu is going to have growing pains and is playing out of position. not sure that is the o-line coaches fault. i'd have to say that comes from higher up the ladder. peat and scharping were inactives for this game.

You should go compare Smiths stats without queen and try to remember queen was learning a new defense.

 

What you didn't mention was that it took a coaching change for Foster to make up for it

I started this thread in 2022 and I'm still waiting for that moment.

The results won't be better if they don't do this, even if they have several new players every year.It doesn't work

 

This is possible to be great in year 1 with a new team or as rookie....The eagles defense did not have this problem under Fangio last year...It took only 1 month.It take forever for the steelers

 

FYI: Najee is with the chargers... not the rams

 

Definitely agree, Ramsey had a couple issues but not the entire problem. I think a couple more were bad communications where someone was supposed to have the under coverage.

I didn't think it was relevant. I thought it was interesting to point out the parallels. It is a good reminder that nobody should give up on Johnson due to one incredibly stupid mistake on special teams. While it was a failure in coaching, I thought it was worth pointing out that the same type of mistake also happened on Chuck Noll's watch.

 

It's relevant in the fact that after that mistake, it's took Bill Cowher and his fresh set of eyes to see the potential and utilize it

love his SPEED and it effective sideline to sideline. but has great limitations.

We can blame the coaches all we want, and they do deserve blame. However, the talent on this team aside from a handful of positions is just not good enough and that falls on Kahn.

If they do clean house in coaching, they should with players as well...fans tend to let the players off the hook too many times because they prefer to think coaches have a bigger impacting on execution than they actually do.

The Eagles also have a lot of high draft picks on that defense, Fangio wasn't great as Miami DC it's about Jimmies and Joes.

 

Have a hard time believing this. Too many examples of highly drafted players and FAs regressing each season.
