I can respect that. I (try to) keep a more tempered approach, I call it as I see it in the moment, accounting for emotions, but I dont tend to ever give up, big picture speaking. Sometimes you have to lick your wounds, accept the reality of the situation and move on to find ways to grow and adapt. But I dig what you do, keep on keeping on.

I agree, the comment I was replying to stated the OP thought the Cowboys WERE a good team. I think they have been over-rated since...hmm...the 90s, but Ive been a Steeler fan since the 70s and still have a bias against the Cowboys, and always intend to have that bias lol.

Let’s try to regroup and see if this defense can gel and get better.
Remember, no one plays in preseason anymore, might take 3-4 games to get on track.

Given that Rodgers is not a long term solution, I'm going to put this here knowing it may catch some heat but, I liked the Will Howard pick in this years draft and I think he has some intangibles and alot of talent, I believe he COULD be our guy down the road. I've seen alot of Steelers fans across various chats dismissing him and getting excited about the 'BIG QB' class coming out in 2026. I stated I was not prior to the season overly impressed by any of the names on that list and after 2-3 games I am even less impressed by those names. I think we have some one on the roster better. What is everyone thinking about that moving forward, just curious, not looking for personal attacks just the exchange of thoughts.

We were comprehensively outplayed from start to finish, and Rodgers was terrible today, he didn't get much help that is true, but he made poor decisions all day.

Game is won in the trenches and we were atrocious on both sides.

It just looks like the same team again, but with a better QB. Though the way it's going he isn't going to last the season.

Everything I tried to be positive about and pretend I didn't see last week, or it was just a one off came home to roost.

I thought we ran the ball better, and I just checked the stats and no we didnlt actually to any meangful degree.

Some nice debuts, Sawyer etc, Ramsey made plays again, serial killer as always.

I dunno man, it's just the same team again - anyone who thinks this team doesnlt need a complete coaching reset is living in cloud cuckoo land.

Fields left the game due to a concussion.

 

The defense was already a problem. Now it is broken. Highsmith has a high ankle sprain, so he could be out for a while. Herbig can make some big plays, but he is terrible against the run. They miss Elliott in the middle of the field. I wouldn't be shocked to see Queen miss some time with the rib injury, even though he played through it today. They also missed Porter terribly.

 

I can remember when the defense took the field and their offense be lucky to get to 3rd and 3 at best. Just dominant.

 

It certainly looks like the IR’d him with a phantom injury.

They must have done that to for a reason.

 

I wrote that thinking it was a rule dealing with the new kickoff, I wasn't really paying close attention. Yes, he should have known.

 

Ideally get a modern offensive mind in here and let him sort it out. Howard could be the answer, probably not. First round QB is about 30-40% success. Need to keep looking for QB's until one is found. They are drafted high mostly on talent, none are perfect or sure things. Recycling has been/never was QB's (And OC) isn't the answer.
