Are the Steelers assembling a dream team like the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles?

Let's hope they don't flop like that Eagles team who went 8-8 that year.

Difference between those 2011 Eagles and the 2025 Steelers is the chemistry between the new pieces acquired in FA in addition to a solid draft. Philly had none little to none of that heading into 2011. Pittsburgh possesses far more cohesion with its FA Acquisitions; namely in the differences between Nnamdi Asomugha and Jalen Ramsey.

Nnamdi effed up his career by chasing the bag while placing himself in a porous position as a man to man corner in a Zone Based Defense. Ramsey doesn't have a limitation on the type of Defense he is in given his multi role background.

One game does not make a season. A good win but must capitalize on it and win the next game and the next etc….. this roster has talent and can win but our coaches need to put it all together. I have my doubts but will enjoy this win til Sunday.

Don't jinx us. They went 8-8, and I believe the next year went 4- 12, and Andy Reid was fired. I don't know if I could handle a 4 -12 , now a 4 - 13 record. In all my days watching the Steelers they have never been that bad.

The Pirates finished the 2020 season with an MLB worst record of 19–41. The team's .317 winning percentage was their worst since 1952.

You sure about wanting to finish as the worse team in NFL???

Many times people have asked me if I'm a TB fan because I say Bucs a lot. I actually got congratulated when Brady led them to a Championship.

You beat me to it. I'd take a 5-12 season... if we could get a new HC and DC, plus a potential franchise QB in 2026 draft.

    plenty good.

    Baltimore's will be very good.

you are part of the MTDT (mike tomlin defense team) - it is your blinder. He and Austin suck on D - they would screw up with the '76 defense roster

I rest my case - we will not compete for a title (he is not capable)

have you already forgotten all the helium this board was inhaling in December? and then the GREAT COLLAPSE.....

Yeah, Buffalo and Baltimore defenses are so great they both gave up 40 points in the season opener .

That's the worst I can honestly remember them being. I couldn't imagine having another loss.

I distinctly remember Chuck Noll's first season in 1969. We won our first game and then promptly lost the next 13.
