Daniel Jeremiah just posted that the Steelers are possibly trying to trade Dwyer. Stay tuned.

Interesting. I like Dwyer...but if thats who the feel they would rather get rid of and keep Redman then I'm fine with it.

Would totally try to move Redman but considering no one even put an offer sheet in on him, I doubt anyone will give up a commodity for him in a trade.

Feel bad for Dwyer, always saying how it's time to go to work, get great, all that stuff. Seems to really like it here, signed his tender in a flash, bummer for him.

    Trade rumor involving the Steelers

I saw on twitter they might be looking to trade Dwyer after drafting Bell.

Not surprised. Dwyer is not going to set the NFL on fire anyways and has issues relative to conditioning ..

For what? Dwyer can't be worth much to most teams...

Aargh I just posted in the other thread, and now I want to say the same thing in here but presume they'll be merged...

Ah well. My general sentiment is: what are they hoping to get? Has Dwyer done anything to warrant team's interest?

I think we saw what Dywer can do with a couple of 100 yard performances, the issue with him has always been conditioning.

Bell was often compared to Dwyer by the experts...so makes sense not to have two of them.

Are you kidding? Pittsburgh West is licking their chops to get Dwyer as Mendy's backup when he gets suspended for another lame controversial Tweet or walking out on the team.

I'd rather trade Redman as well. I think Dwyer and Bell would complement each other well.

Makes no sense. So you get all over the RB's for conditioning and game prep, then try to trade the one who's doing the most this off-season to improve?

Think they would rather deal Redman too but there is no deal out there.

    So, Dwyer it is.

I say keep all the backs except Batch there will be injuries at the position. Dwyer is effective if he gets into better shape and stop tapping out after 2 or 3 carries. besides you won't get much for Dwyer except a 6th or 7th round pick.

not saying you'rec wrong, because I really don't know, but that seems like a lot of cap savings for a relatively low wage guy. I'd be shocked it was that much.

Does this mean Bradshaw is back on their radar?

pretty sure it does. Any team that takes him takes his salary and cap hit as well and the Steelers are free and clear.

Ok, I'll trust your numbers. But who on earth will want Dwyer, his mediocre production and conditioning, and a disproportionate cap hit? You'd be lucky to get a bag of potatoes in return for him.

It's correct. His tender was $1,323,000. It's not guaranteed money, and if he were cut or traded, the team saves $1,323,000. No dead money.

Well, this was a draft day report. The Steelers were hoping someone would give them a mid/late round pick in exchange for a proven back who immediately took himself off the market. Since nothing came of this during the draft, I expect the shopping will be over.
