I see what you did there - Jets, airplane food :smiley1:

My mind initially went to the days when they served food on airlines. When I was a kid, my grandma worked for Sky Chefs and would put a steak dinner on the plane for my brother and I when we would fly!

In honor of it all, will probably throw some steaks on the grill.

It also would leave sticky $hit on defenders jerseys where they touched them.

i remember playing a tough team at their place on a hot day. they had a field with no grass left on it and it was dirt. chewed up dirt and i was sweating down my arms a bunch. (played both ways and specials in those days) as a center i thought well i'll try some of that stuff the receivers use,(stickum) big mistake. it got filled with sweat, dirt, clumps, on the ball when i snapped it to the QB, then when he handed it off or tried to throw it. what a mess. we spent timeouts trying to peel that mess off and it stuck to towels and everything. never tried that again. :roflmao::smiley1::cool:

What a spread last night and I had my take home containers with me. The spread was everything Philly. Don't have to cook for the next 3 days.

Since I am not going to NY, Hoagies will be on the menu.
    And a beer.
Wife is a funny girl and purchased another foam brick to throw at the TV refs. I can now build a pretty good sized foam brick mansion.

    Corn.

Distilled and then aged in a charred oak barrel.

They kept pointing out to me the Steelers drafted that idiot Pickens. If Pickens had a better more mature head on his shoulders he would have been a top receiver in the NFL for a long time. And he would have been a fantastic second round pick for our guys.

Night before last I had braised short ribs and squiggly pasta with cheese on an airplane that was actually very good

Being that I eat too much pasta, I like to know the names. I've only one pasta I'm not a fan of....spaghetti. Doesn't hold sauce , gravy, and soups well. Many other pasta do way better at this.

Some pasta does not hold sauce well

I only learned recently if to look on the box and buy “Bronze die cut” pasta

It cost a little more but it is rougher and holds the sauce

    Well worth 50 cents

    I will look into this.
I've also always had a thing for pasta that I can eat with a spoon. That way I can get more of the sauces, gravy, and stuff on each bite.

I grow a lot of tomatoes (Amish Paste) and my wife cans them

For years she she has just canned them with bail and banana peppers and used them as is

Last year I found a good pasta sauce recipe with onions carrots etc in it and the you immersion blend it. It loved it and asked her to make more this year.

So she made 30 quarts of what she likes an 3 pints of what I like so far.

LoL. I don't believe that's an even split, although it sounds like she's doing most of the work at it.

    Who acclimates the plants

    Who tills the ground

Who fertilizes the plants multiple times

    Who plants the

    Who waters them

    Who trims them

Who picks them and brings them in the house
