Packers just picked up Micah Parsons. 4 year contract for 188 million, 136 million GTD. Dallas is gaining 2 x 1st round picks (2026 and 2027), and Kenny Clark (a DT). TJ is no longer the highest paid non QB.

Packers might have a great year. That is a pretty big pickup.

Moreover.... Doesn't this trade make the Steelers newly acquired 2026 3rd round and 2027 5th round Dallas picks about did picks better each year?

Steelers Winners in the Dallas / Green Bay trade of Parsons. :)

LOL, I can't argue with this.... "I want me some Glory-Hole" Jerry Jones :roflmao:

Jerry wins out in the end.

He gets more attention from the media. He obtains more money from the marketing and ad revenue the Cowboys receives. Most of all?!

He has three 1st Round Picks to use in 2026.

Jerry essentially punted the 2025 Season for Dallas. He knows this. It is also true to say that Jerry is likely done with Dak Prescott as well for Dak simply isn't the answer.

You do realize NFL has a cap?
Prescott makes $60 mil a season
Lamb makes $30 mil a season
If they gave Micah $48 mil a season
Guess other players don’t make much?
How in God’s green earth do you blame Jerry?
Micah, I want to play my whole career in Dallas. Greedy greedy greedy. Micah didn’t care about his teammates, if he did he would still be there.
$uck Micah and others that care only about themselves playing a TEAM sport.

I honestly think Dallas made out in trade.
Cowboys couldn’t stop the run with Micah, but the DE pro bowler Kenny Clark is good against the run.
Plus , Cowboys got 2 number 1 picks. People and their blinders are amazing.
Last time Jones made a bad trade according to media and fans, was when they got rid of Herschel Walker.
How did that work out? 2 Superbowls
I am not a Jones fan or a Cowboys fan, but I am not ignorant.

Jerry made out like a bandit.

People continually push the narrative that Jerrys ego cost Dallas its future. Short term?! Absolutely. Long term?! TBD.

As I said though, I truly believe Jerry is done with Dak. Dak isnt the answer.

    I actually made a mistake.

Dallas has four 1sts to use; both theirs and Green Bays 2026 and 2027 Picks.

Regardless though, I do still stand by my statement; Jerry does not give a damn about this season. That much was made clear. He is clearly pushing for a Top 10 Drafr Selection; maybe even Top 5 depending on how historically bad Dallas' Defense will be.

Biggest question remains though is if he will be proven right?! Time will tell.

Agreed about this season! They weren’t winning anything with Parsons no how.
Going to build thro the draft, the way it should be done.
Not by picking up 10 yr vets and saying we going all in, and can’t even win a playoff game
    Sound familiar?

TJ Watt is 30; going to be 31. Micah is 26. Massive difference there; a major bargaining chip for Jerry. That said, if AR IIs plan was to compete for a Super Bowl (as he said), trading away TJ defeats that purpose.

Even so, my starting asking price for TJ would have been two firsts anyways. T.J. is every bit of a game wrecker as Micah is; far more in fact. How much more T.J. has left though is a fair question to ask.

I wasn’t suggesting trading TJ. problem with TJ and Cam they go MIA in playoffs.
Sorta like Bonds and Bonilla back in the early 90s for the Buccos

No way 2, first rd picks for TJ at this point of his career.
That’s just me, there is always someone else out there who probably will pay that price

Take another look at Micah's new contract. It is backloaded as hell.

Micah Cap hit in 2025 $10 million
Micah Cap hit in 2026 $19 million
Micah Cap hit in 2027 $27 million
Micah Cap hit in 2028 $64 million
Micah Cap hit in 2029 $68 million
And then about $20 million in Void years.

It is just crazy how no one is talking about how backloaded this contract is. Watching the Southside and they are talking about $47 million per year.

The 1st 3 years it is $19.6 million per year
The last 2 years with the Void Money due at the end it is $76 million per year.

Been a pretty long time since they won a superbowl. Wouldn't you consider these issues as long term?

Long term in regards to the trade.

As far as historically speaking?! Jerry has been both a loser and a winner. Lover as he has yet to see an NFC Championship Game. Winner because the Cowboys have become the most valuable Sports Brand on the Planet.

I believe they just resigned a DB to a nice contract. I think I read that at the bottom of the tv today.
I alao believe as others have said this probably means the end is near for Prescott.
