as i said in the will TJ stay thread, there very well could be a big reset to this team by next year if kahn , MT and weidl choose too. kind of the out with the old and in with the new. lot's of cap space plus lot's of draft capital for the next couple of years. also sitting on a few replacements possibly. looking like a wait and see year from several players.

signings like this could be nothing more than a warm body for camp and depth for fautanu and seumalo. keeping them gaurded in preseason.

Which is funny. What you said in your post, and then the picture. Contradictory.

Intentional irony - not only are they trying to fit round pegs in square holes, but they can't even get that right. ;)

Of the 48 players who were active for the January playoff loss in Baltimore, 22 no longer remain on the roster.

I want someone to again try to tell me Omar is not running this show.

Question remains though. Can Tomlin get these players to beat the teams that they are supposed while winning games that they are underdogs against? Our coaching is our biggest problem nearly every season.

I was wondering how long it would take someone to turn a post about the roster into a bash Tomlin thread

My only surprise is Calvin Anderson over Dylan Cook as a backup T. From what I saw on the field in preseason, Cook earned it over Calvin. I’d like to also see us upgrade from Spencer Anderson as a backup G, though not surprised that he’s the guy who made it over the others that were vying for the position. I don’t think any backup G’s impressed much in preseason.

Time for both the 2023 and 2024 Classes to put up or shut up. September 7th will tell quite a bit for certain. New York isn't as easy as others think; doubly so in their Front Seven.

Gonna be a tough out for sure.

They gave Calvin a two year deal I'm not surprised he stuck around, Cook could make it back to the practice squad.

Leal was cut. Another one from the awful 2022 draft. (Colbert’s last) He just never developed. I doubt he gets a job unless it’s with one of the teams with a terrible defense, and they decide to take a lottery ticket with Leal’s picture on it. Like the Bungles.

The 2018-2022 drafts by Colbert and Tomlin were absolutely horrible. A big reason why we are in this stalemate.

4 corners essentially and 3 safeties. one safety is more a special teamer and one of the corners didn't play at all in preseason. WTF tomlin. one injury and we are in deep chit. unless kent and austin become healed, we don't have a punt returner.

Really? Tomlin never loses to teams that his team should easily beat? Come on man. Stevie Wonder could even see trap games from a mile away that MT simply didn’t have his team prepared for. Happens nearly every season.

    Our you serious?

Playing down to teams has been a feature of Tomlin's teams for years.

SMH, do you even watch the games?

I believe what he is trying to point out is all teams lose to teams they so-called shouldn't lose to. Tomlin is not an exception.

Leal is just a tweener. He's a good athlete for his size/frame, but he is basically too big to be a 34 EDGE and too small to be a 34 DL. His best bet would be as a rotational 43 DE. I get we play a lot of 425 (nickel), but that's just not quite the same thing. He just never really fit here.

Interesting and thank you. Now what are their win loss percentage against teams they are favored and teams that they are the dog?

Why use against the spread? That tells us basically nothing at all.
