A few days ago someone made a post complaining about Black and his “natural position”. To save people face in the future if you start complaining about black not playing nose tackle his “natural position” try to remember one simple fact. Iowa runs a 4-2-5 defense which doesn’t have a nose tackle. You’re welcome

There is so , so, so many players that don't play the exact position they played in college, so IMO it's ridiculous to complain about that stuff.

I love the idea of this guy as theoretically right now it helps is stop the run up the middle which i feel has been an important glaring issue for years.

We don't play a lot of base 3-4 defense but it seems he could be that NT on running downs, unless I missed an article or something states otherwise.

Perhaps but asking Logan Lee to do so makes even less sense overall. Black has both the capability and athleticism to become a rock solid NT. Logan Lee is more so a traditional 4i to 5 tech.

Hope they don't find a way to screw it up. Derrick Henry says hello...

And why is Leal still taking up a roster spot?

Maybe they can put Broderick" Looking like a Bust" Jones at Nose tackle :lolol:

Iowa played a lot of 4 man front and Logan Lee lined up in the middle nearly every snap.

In this you see Black playing outside the OG when they go to a 3 man front.

Could be neither is a 'traditional' NT in the same vain as Snack. But Lee lined up over Center more than Black in their college careers. The proof is in the game footage.

    Lee is around 6'5"-290
    Black is around 6'6"-335
    Benton is around 6'4"-310

I think we will see all 3 getting NT snaps when we use one.

It's not the least bit rediculous if said player is playing poorly and out of position (Dotson was the biggest example). If they weren't good at their primary position then trying something else makes sense.
The OL has been severely hampered and underwhelmnig the past 6 years because of moving guys from position of comfort and memory to something the opposite. Fautanu may be the next victim of this. Broderick back at his natural side, though the damage may be done. I think we all agree Jones was more of a project than any of us knew (draft pundits too), so slight forgiveness to Meyer and Tomlin on that player.

Some coaches on this team are underwhelming an quite honestly...stupid.

AND since you apparently are a staff member of the team, you know for a fact that they weren't struggling at their position, and so therefore changed??? Example 2 of parroting. Unless you work there, you have no Idea. This is not something you can see on game day, for he has played that position way more than the other, so unless you are seeing practice everyday, or a staff member, you are just parroting what others have said.

There are scouts that said Jones would make a better RT than LT in the pros. Just because he was put somewhere by his college coach doesn't automatically make it his "natural" position.
